Help Streaming music from X w/Bluetooth in car

I have the car dock and love how the charging cable plugs into the dock so your not always plugging and unplugging it into the phone itself. You can just set it in the dock and go. Now the perfect scenario to me would be to be able to stream Slacker or MOG music from the X to the car stereo using Bluetooth. I currently have factory Bluetooth in the car, but is only for calls. I would like to get a new stereo with Bluetooth that would allow me to stream music to it in addition to using the X for Navigation. What I would like to know is how the sound quality will be? Is there anyone here currently doing this that can comment on the sound quality and let me know what deck you are using? I am REALLY hoping for success here so I can just drop the X into the car dock and go, without messing with any cables and still have very good sound quality.

My scenario is not 100% the same, but close. I have a Jabra SP700 speakerphone (Jabra SP700 - Bluetooth speakerphone for your car and conference calling)

This clips on my visor, and connects via bluetooth to my phone, then transmits to your car stereo via a built in FM transmitter.

I find the sound quality to be excellent - the only time I ever have an issue is if I am an urban area where I cannot locate a 'silent' FM setting.

I use it to stream Pandora all the time. I actually like this setup because I switch between 2 vehicles, and this makes it very easy to do so.

Edit - the original purpose for the Jabra is for hands-free calling. It will actually interrupt the song that is playing and announce the incoming call. Not sure if you'd use it for that. I almost forgot about it, because I tend not to use it -- my vehicles are very noisy - I drive either a Wrangler or a Mustang GT w/the top typically down. I know that when I've tried to use it for calls, people have had a hard time hearing me. But I can't blame it on the headset when I'm on the highway with the top down & doors off the Jeep. ;-)

I have the Ford Sync system in my car and stream music/navigation via Bluetooth A2DP. The sound from streaming apps like Pandora is decent. It's not cd quality but it's pretty good. Streaming local media from the phone sounds even better. Sound quality is a personal preference but for me, it's decent enough.

I did this exact same thing with my BB Storm I just got rid of, and a Motorola T505. I did not like the sound quality at all. I figured because it was first transmitting to the T505 via Bluetooth, and then to the radio via FM transmission. I'm hoping to learn that transmitting just once, through Bluetooth, will have much better sound quality.

Can you explain how you got Pandora to stream through Ford Sync? I just got a Ford with it and tried to do that this morning but I wasn't able to do it. I told the car to play "bluetooth audio" and then launched Pandora on my Eris... that didn't do it...

any help is appreciated...

I have a 2010 F150 with sync and currently i use:
ipod connected via USB for music
blackberry connected via bluetooth for phone
garmin connected via power for nav
I am planning on buying the samsung captivate when rogers releases it and a car dock and what I am wondering is if I put the phone in a car dock and connect only to USB and pair it to blue tooth, will I be able to make calls, play music, use the maps/nav all using sync? Because I notice when i try to play music via bluetooth sync doesnt have full voice control and when i hook up my ipod via usb the ford logo takes over and i cant control the device unless its through sync. So it seems like the phone to do all three is a bit unlikely. Holy crap that was long winded... sorry... i appreciate any input...

I have a 2010 SuperDuty with Sync. Pandora works fine over bluetooth, a little soft in the volume but works fine. All voice controls work as expected when music is playing, hit the voice button it pauses the music then resumes when the command is done. I don't use the phone navigation, as I already have Sync so no need. I read there's a way to send a google map from the phone to Sync, but I need to do some more researching on that.

Very happy on the level of integration with my X and the Sync system. Music, txt messages, calling, Pandora... pretty sweet. We've come along way in a short time.

so your connected only through bluetooth? no USB cable?

I guess the core of what I am asking is will i be able to say crap like "play album and call this person" like usual and be able to control my phone as in press apps and goto google maps or where ever else on the phone. i only have sync, no for nav :(
