Not to mention the dock not working with cases... still, it looks pretty nice. As for the kickstand, it's less stable with a case on. I can knock my phone over with the kickstand out easier than when I didn't have a case.

At lest 6 hours a day 5 days a week my phone is on my desk at work on the kickstand with the usb plugged into my pc and it's never fallen over.

I don't see the point of spending money on a dock I don't care how good it looks. Just not something I drool over.

However me spending $65 on an extended 3500 battery...priceless.
Since I live in a 4g zone I can leave my 4g up all day.

I really wish the stock night clock had options to change the text color to red or green and allow dimming of the backlight. The night clock is so bright that I can't sleep. I tried other clocks, but they screw up my alarm.

I would like a decent cradle. Or a new case with a kickstand right under the camera woukd be nice.

kickstand does NOT support the phone well, especially with a case on it..

Plus, a dock, with a slot for a SPARE BATTERY, that lets the phone sit in LANDSCAPE, would be the ultimate dock...that DroidX dock is stunningly beautiful!!

Well people have different uses.

Some folks have a mount in their car for gps or streaming music. Why? Convenience.

I wouldn't mind a dock do streaming music or Sprint Live TV while at work.

I wouldn't use it at home for an alarm clock. The thing is too flakey (rare random reboot), grounding issues when plugged in, etc.

It is built in. Click your clock to open the time settings. then tap the "Desk Clock" slider, then tap the small button in the frame with the PC monitor and timer on it. (Next to the half moon). Voila, desk clock... and it rotates!

I could see a dock to hold the evo in portrait mode(since the kickstand doesn't work) but I don't see the point of a landscape dock. Not to mention I don't even know how a landscape dock would work with the usb and hdmi out the bottom. Yes my kickstand is unstable with a case on but i don't see how that droid x stand could accommodate a case.

I have the Best Buy Premium case. When I use the kickstand, it falls over more times than it stands up. Oh well. I really don't see a use for the kickstand anyway since the supplied UI can't do landscape mode. I'm really not interested in installing another UI on top of the one that HTC created. ( I'm also REALLY not interested in your opinion if you don't agree with me, nor am I asking for it.)

My use for the dock would be to set it into my entertainment center so I can watch my 720P video recordings. I like the idea that the power adapter and micro HDMI cables are both always in the dock and in the same fixed position. This would reduce the wear and tear on the micro hdmi jack significantly. I would have no issue with taking it out of the case to dock it. Again, if you don't agree with me, I REALLY don't care. This thread is not a debate, it was just information.

As was mentioned you do not need root to get this. Both ADW and Launcher pro support landscape along with the Beautiful Widgets app.

Mine supports my phone VERY well, and even better with my case on it. With out the case i cant stand my phone up portrait style but with the case on my kick stand will support the phone in portrait mode.

Have you tried Kaloer Clock in the market?
