Android Gingerbread ON ERIS!!!!!

Hmmm..seeing as how the specs of the Eris are absolute shit, it's hard to imagine the phone not having enough RAM, the right screen size/resolution, nor the 1 Ghz minimum CPU speed yet still being able to run 3.0.

I call BS. If it's true, that is quite remarkable. But think about what all had to be overcome in order to fit it onto a low-end device.

3.0 runs fine on my device and it's still in beta. OCing the hell out of the Eris still shouldn't bring it up to par with the N1 which is also running it smoothly.

Again, I'm calling BS, but if it's true....Google has some explaining to do about it's "minimum specs."

Yeah, I was kinda irritated because I'm running 3.0 on a device that is not the Eris and if the Eris can do it then screw it all, I'm getting a G1 on Craigslist and living the simple life.

So since you're running 3.0, can you tell us anything about it? How is it compared to 2.2? I've been using 2.2 for about 2 months and it's definitely an improvement over 2.1.

I can't. The next iteration is only out to Google Engineers so far although it has found its way to other places. I am not allowed to mention the device, firmware version, or anything. No pictures, no info.

I have no "inside" connects, it was given to me by someone whose immediate family member was an engineer...or developer. I don't know. He couldn't indulge that much either.

It appears I've posted 3.0 a few times in my latest posts so I'm gonna go ahead and edit those because...they are watching.
