How do you use your phone?

How many people actually use their phone to it's fullest potential? I mean, with all the things that it provides, who uses them all or most of them, etc...
I use the basic stuff, sms, email, calendar, internet, etc... but i rarely use the music player, wifi, bluetooth, etc...
I barely use if at all, the slide out keyboard. Coming from a BB the keyboard on the slide it a heck of a lot different.

I am just curious as to what everyone uses their phone for!

I use all the features you mentioned above and then some, like nav, mobile banking, Twitter, facebook, business emails, media player, document viewer/editor, and too much more to list. that's why I spent the money to get a smartphone. IMHO If that's all you use your phone for you might have been better off with a nokia nuron or a highlight or something similar cause they are cheaper and do all the limited functions you want to use. Now that being said I have to ask...why do you care how I use my phone? It's mine not yours, and I use it MY way. You use it your way and I'll use it mine, but I will say that I would never buy a fully featured smart phone and not use it's functions that just makes no sense at all.

Not a horrible question. No one HAS to answer. :)

I used mine constantly. I'd say I'm on it most for social networking (Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, etc). I never use the slide out keyboard as I've quite taken to the Swype technology. The keyboard always seemed a little sunken in for me and I don't like the number row at all so I just stick with the screen keyboard. I use the phone to listen to music (last.fm) when I go to sleep, play some generic games when I'm trying to wind down, keep up on all my sports and the news. Used it to keep up with my stocks when I had them. I use it to check the weather here, trying to find any relief from 112 degree heat.

Wow Behold, that was a bit harsh for a simple reply. OP's just asking a friendly question. :p

Other than that, yeah, I use my phone for basic stuff... not tons of the things it's capable of, but it's nice having a good phone in case I ever need anything else. I use a lot of the internet browsing, facebook, music, love the video cam, picture caller ID, games, etc.

I NEVER use the Stocks app, Faves app (I just use direct Call/Text widgets since it calls after one push of a button instead of using faves app). Genius button is okay to me, don't use it... can't even recognize some simple names that I have on there. And no, I don't have an accent or anything.

that's Behold_this for you..he does this in every thread...just ignore him..

I use mine for social networking (Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare). camera, not much on music, I have a few songs on there just so I can use them as ringtones...I check weather/stocks constantly, navigation has been very helpful for me..also the Where app, I text a lot and rarely use minutes..I also love how i can use Google Voice directly to make international calls!!!

Only thing i'd LOVE to have on this phone is Skype..was using Fring, but Skype blocked access to it....

Well I for one try to use as much of the phone as I can. I make a point of at least trying everything out. Some things I may not use as much but I make every effort to get the most out of it. I'm currently trying to get used to using the G button more. It can do a lot, even open up apps for you. I'd probably use the MyFaves more if the darn thing actually updated like it should. T-Mo needs to fix that syncing issue. I use the keybaord when I have longer things to type but generally use swype. I use most of the apps that came with this phone, some more or less than others. I use GPS and WiFi regularly, Bluetooth not so much (most head sets hurt my ears). I'm a regular user of Friend Stream and Peep along with all the weather, News and Sports info apps. I sync my calendar, contacts and mail with Google constantly. So you see, I use every nook and cranny of this phone. Otherwise it would be a collosal waste of money. You know?

I just wish it had some special FM car charger that the phone can connect to.

I use my phone as an alarm when I wake up.
I have to answer 2 damn math problems to shut the thing up!

I look at my calendar/missed phone calls/ text messges
I look at the time and weather.

When I get in the car for work, I use it as a music player. I use pandora so I jam out to some good stuff.

When I get close enough to my job, the modes change so I have phone ready for work.

I made a rolodex using google spreadsheet, and I booked marked it, so if I ever need to call someone on the road, I just go to my bookmark, I click on my online rolodex, then I look for the number I want, then I click on my clickable number to dial it. It save me from having all the client numbers on my phone.

When I have to deliver things to offices, randomly, I use the navigation to get to where I"m going.

When I drive, I like to use the genious button when I text someone, except I get pissed off when it doesn't work. ("LOOK YOU STUPID BUTTON, I SAID TO SEND A TEXT TO THIS PERSON AND YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THE $#%#@ YOUR DOING")
Yes i know I sound like Mel Gibson (punchline beat)

I use a ton of apps and thats about it. Cant get enough of papi jump. If you ever look at the top score, thats me! Hell, I'm still playing papi jump while I'm typing to you guys :)

So it does!!!! Thanks for the tip Connie!!!!! Been waiting well over a week for it to get fixed :D

Yah, there are still a few glitches for some people I guess but I'm just glad my Faves is updating now. I wanted to utilize that more but didn't because of this. After experiementing with the MyModes, I can now say it works great! switches right on time. I'm really liking it. T-Mo/HTC needs to keep working on fixing the little things that are still a problem (T-Mo syncing for one)

Hi, you're like the 2nd or 3rd person who said they use it as a music player while in the car. Can you please tell me how you do that?? Thank you!

i used to use a netbook for playing music in my car through a cassette adapter since it could last 4-6 hours playing music, but since i got a slide i bought an arkon car mount and micro usb car charger so i can just stream pandora all day in traffic instead of hitting random 30 times on my netbook. sound quality is not as good as my eeepc w/foobar since there's no equalizer but i just use the tone controls on my car radio...haha.

one of the best parts about using the phone hooked up to the car radio is that i can actually hear all my notifications since it cuts the music. plus, taking calls over the car radio is kinda funny.

Well I use my auxilary cable. I also believe that there might be an fm transmitter somewhere out there for people that dont have an auxiliary thing on their stereo.
