DX: No jacket required. I LOVE IT!!

I like Apple. I own a new MacBook Pro and love it. I just don't understand how you can boldly support a product that has an obvious design flaw much less spend $200 on it. I couldn't do it. Dropped Apple/AT&T and switched to Verizon for the Droid X. I'm not the only one who was drawn away from the iPhone 4 to the X. The fanboys are kidding themselves if they think no iPhone user would defect.

Agreed. That's one of the reasons I don't like Apple. :p

My biggest grip with Apple is their advertising and marketing is so full of crap. Good products, but they feel the need to make such big deals about how bad everything else is and how *uniquely* great there products are.

With the attacks on other phone's signal issues it seems they have sunk to a whole new level. Esp. with the Droid X one being complete BS. I think they deserve every bit ridicule they are getting from ad like this "no jacket" one from Verizon.

Yeah, I like the Mac products but I never really understood all the hype over the i products. The iPod is OK (mine is 6 years old), the iPhone was good up until the current one, and I think the iPad is useless. Not good for an e-reader because of the LCD screen (I have a Kindle 2 and love it), doesn't have Flash support so it's still the incomplete internet like the iPhone, and you can't use it for real document creation. A smartphone would be just as useful if not more so than the iPad.

I do love Mac's and OSX but I have also always had Windows rigs that I have built myself and overclocked. It's expensive but I don't think you can beat the build quality of the aluminum unibody MacBook Pro. I had too many crappy Windows laptops to ever go back.

Apple is not perfect like some people like to think. Jobs is a douche, their marketing has always been too snarky for my taste and they have had failures (I'm looking at you Apple TV). They do have a great marketing department. I'll give them that. Again, I like Macs but I'm not a zealot. It's just a product people. To each his own.

@ninja monkey...their marketing has pretty much always sucked until the i'm a mac ads...just think thru the 80s, 90s, and early 00s, apple's marketshare was nowhere near what it is now...people have only flocked to mac due to the ipod and then really jumped on the bandwagon for iphone. their computer sales probably only see an increase since then...i almost switch to mac os a crapload of times but windows always had them beat out when it came to software...i mean over the last 25 years)minus the last 2 or 3) apple was ALWAYS railroaded by microsoft and that was ALL due to advertising....

i don't know where i'm going with this other than the fact that they (apple and their fanboys) can obviously dish out the digs all day long, but can't take the return volleys...i swear i could read the tears of the fanboys in those comments...

it also reminds my why i hate that friggin site gizmodo so much! god they are lame!

@kaleb, i actually saw that exact same picture with the blurb for 2.2 at release time, can't remember where though. it may have been another full page ad in the ny times, not sure...i'm pretty sure moto just recycled the pic for the new volley at apple
Ah, okay. That would make sense then. Disregard my attempted investigative work. Lol
