You install the theme as a zip from your SD Card using ROM Manager, same with the kernels. You may want to let the ROM settle for a day or so before you install the kernel. If you have SPRrecovery, rename as update and flash from recovery.

HELP! Please!

I want this ROM and I understand how to install it in the Root of the SD card, but how do I install the Theme?

And also, with all the Kernals in the link that he gives for the recommend downloadable ones to download....which ones do you download or should I? Or all of them? And where do you put them?

THANKS! Soooooooooo much !

Ok is there any ROM manager you suggest?

Also, now when I try and boot into SPRecovery I get a triangle with an ! in the middle and the phone below it....What is that and how do I fix it?

Thanks again!

Just downloaded the Rom and the Blueberry theme today. Applying the patch right now but so far I like the ROM. Nice look and seems to perform pretty well. I will rate it after running it for a day or so.

Edit: I seem to be having problems with the market. I applied the patch thinking that was it. I also fixed permissions in Titanium. Still cannot find many apps. Might just be me. Do I try to apply the market fix?

Me too, i just did a quick try with the patch posted. And I still cant get the 11 apps to install (know 1 for sure is foursquare).

Also the deal breaker to run this rom full time for me is the storm8 games dont work. But with them they only work on 1 ROM (ss4.5) i know of so far (think maybe others, didnt on CM6). It really is them not supporting froyo yet and not the roms themselves from what i read.

Yes, I can't get mytracks, cardiotrainer, weatherbug and others to show or even to reinstall from Titanium. I found a market fix for the new FRG01 but it did not seem to fix the problem. I even did a wipe and then a restore of the ROM and the blueberry theme but no luck.

I need those programs so for now I am retreating to my last ROM. I do like the features and look of this ROM and theme so I will keep trying.

I'm with these guys. It's very snappy but some of my apps won't even show on the market like twitter.

No I didn't.....In the main instructions...like for Noobs (which I am not, just been a long time since I have used a different ROM..my excuse and stickin' to it! haha) But it never said to clear cache/data...that I saw anyways...

You seem to know a lot about this stuff....Would you be willing (I hope lol) to PM and send me you're email so I can ask you some stuff. I need a clear answer on a couple things and just want someone to just answer it strait up.

(do you suggest a certain ROM manager to apply you're theme you made?)

I got a quick initial boot from the Stock (non-themed) Rom. I was met with a root permission request as soon as the initial setup started; Titanium Backup (TiBu) was asking for root. Having TiBu preinstalled is a nice touch that saves me the extra step of having to download it. Plus if I choose to forgo the automatic Market restore and just let TiBu handle it, the process becomes a simple matter of skipping entering my Google account, restoring, and finally syncing to Google.

After letting the Market do its work I did my initial check to see what was missing,

After letting the Market do its work I did my initial check to see what was missing, “No Shazam restored…hmm ok, well TiBu will take care of that!”

No dice. TiBu would not restore Shazam, no explanation given.

“Ok, I’ll head to the Market and get it.”

Nope, not showing up,

“Weird. Maybe if I try the Market fix in the thread?”

No good on that either, still not there.

“Ok, maybe it’s my problem let me wipe/flash again.”

Same issue again.

“Different Rom?”

Nope works fine on everything else I’ve tried; Conclusion: It is definitely an issue with the ROM. That right there would be a deal breaker for me (I love me some music identification) but for the sake of a full review I didn’t jump ship.
I did not have many problems actually using the ROM with the stock kernel; it wasn’t quick but not slow either. I did run Quadrant quite a few times over the course of booting, flashing updates, rebooting, wiping completely, trying again, etc. I was never able to break 550 in quadrant on the stock kernel. Next I tried the P3Droid 0.32.9 LV-1000 and still wasn’t able to get anything above 750. To be fair the ROM does not feel slow but ‘fast’, or ‘quick’, or ‘snappy’ are not the first words I would describe my experience.

All the major components do work (WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, Phone, SMS), and there are a few good basic Scripts included with the ROM, plus one really interesting “Backup Apps” script that I was excited to try. Unfortunately it seemed like the script was missing (no command found!). Reboot, and Reboot to recovery options are present and are always appreciated by me. Perhaps the most evident feature though, is the included Theme.

I flashed the theme after I finished my ROM testing and I have to say I do really enjoy the theme. It is crisp, easy to read and very extensive. Hell, I think there is even a themed TiBu widget (I say “think” because it keeps FCing on me). It is definitely one of my favorite looking “blue” themes. Interestingly, the first boot after adding the theme took an astounding 8 minutes!

Over all I think LiQuID is a good attempt, but it really does not seem ready yet. I do really like the theme, but the Yogurt underneath is a bit to melty right now to enjoy it. I am excited to see future, and hopefully more stable versions of this ROM, but as of right now I am giving it a 2 out of 5

Actually, I agree with almost this entire post except that I did not experience any initial bootup problems. I did have one issue where the first time I tried to backup this setup in SPrecovery, it hung up but the second time worked for me so no biggie. I agree that the performance is OK, not slow but not ultra snappy either. That said, I really like the them and yes the included reboot features and some others are really nice. If not for the market issue (yes, Shazaam was another one for me) I would be sticking with it. At this point, I would probably give it 3 stars but I would rate it higher if the market were fixed.

By the way, to liquid, thanks for all your hard work on this. It's a very nice design and shows a bunch of promise.

For the record, I won't *NOT* flash a ROM just because of "mentally challenged" spelling. My earlier post wasn't meant to be taken seriously, so for the two or three that did, nice job. I am actually going to try this ROM out based on: a) the positive reviews thus far, and b) the responsiveness of the dev to problems brought up by people who have tried it. Those two factors are very important to me, and with Pete now off on a Droid X kick, I don't imagine there will ever be a BB 0.5.

1. there is only one rom manager.
2. if you are coming from anything other than a 2.2 froyo rom you will need to wipe data and cache.
3. you will need sprecovery or clockwork recovery to flash new roms and kernels.

Load and boot went very smoothly and quicker than most ROMs that I have tested in the last few weeks. I have to say that is an awesome boot animation! I installed the stock themed ROM with the patch and market fix and selected Launcher Pro before doing any customizing.

Sync with Google did not go very well as only about 60% of my apps restored, used TiBu to do the rest, I do have a lot of apps about 120 so its not surprising to me. The only ROM so far that has restored all my apps was CM6.

This ROM is smooth and very snappy. The stock kernel performed well and I was able to get 12.5 MFLOPs and 1089 on Quadrant, this is good for my Droid with any stock kernel at 800Mhz and actually better than most ROMs. Battery life is a little less than average for me during constant use for about 3.5 hours I lost 40% of battery life.

Everything seems to work well GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi. The few things I did have a problem with was the Shazam issue which has been noted in this thread and a continual FC when trying to change contact information, it is isolated to just a few contacts but nothing seems to fix it. I believe it may have something to do with a Facebook sync that I did, but I have never seen the android.process.acore FC before.

All in all this is a good beginning to a ROM and I believe that these issues and others that have been mentioned will be quickly fixed and the next verzion will be great. I give this a 2.5 out of 5.
