Where i am told
So i have seen a few people mention that they are in the Military..... Me being one of them

so i thought i might start a thread for those of us who are tech savy and what branch you are in and stuff like that.

I am an E-4 in the USAF, Stationed at Hill AFB, UT i have a Droid X and freaking LOVE it... can't wait for FroYo

Please don't post anything in here that can't be found on the internet already... no need to be like that one DUMB ASS specialist who leaked all those documents... AKA no Classified stuff we all know better

alright so everyone so far had a better job than my current one... Were you guys ever deployed? What was your best TDY if any?

@chrlswltrs i gotta ask, your 8 yr old has a Droid? is that because it was your old one?

I did a WestPac deployment on the Lincoln. I've been to Hong Kong, Thialand, Singapore, Japan, and Hawaii.

Yes the droid was my old phone. When the droid was mine my daughter had an eris. Before that I had a jailbroken iphone 3GS and she had the iphone. She is very intelligent, she got her first messaging phone and was texting me and her mom at 4 years old, she got her first iphone when she passed her college entrance exam when she was 7.

Yeoman (don't remember how to spell it) aka O.B.? You know I have to give you ****, you did go coast guard. At least there is another squid on here!

I was an Aviation Maintenance Administrationman (AZ) in the Navy, Yeoman in the CG.

Give me all the shit you want, I can take it. :)

One of my favorite stories is from when I was going through MEPS for the Coast Guard. I was in a very bad mood, and I tend to be grouchy at the best of times. This Navy Corpsman decided to give me a hard time, looked at my papers, and said "shallow water sailor, huh?!"

I leaned forward, looked at his ribbon bar, and replied "you don't seem to have a sea service ribbon. I have two."

And, just for the record, I've seen some pretty hairy seas from the deck of a CG Cutter.

6 years Navy. Plane Captain w/ VFC-13, a Top Gun adversary squadron. I just wish "plane captain" meant I flew them like so many people think. After the squadron moved from Miramar to Fallon, I ended up cobbling together PCs for an augmentation unit for Carrier Group Southwest (USS Constellation, Kitty Hawk, and John C. Stennis). I still don't know what an "augmentation unit" was really supposed to do other than limp along with donated cast-off PC parts I had to Frankenstein into working machines...

Fallon, NV has to be the most gawd-awful spot in the United States.
