I hate the green crop box when i want to set the image as wallpaper  Just can't stretch the whole image . I have used Wallpaper set & save but don't work for me . The whole wallpaper doesn't fit the homescreen , it's too big and just show the part like green crop box T_T . I'm using 2.1 Android . Please help me

960x800 works but it doesn't fit the screen well . Why HTC has to use crop when set wallpaper  960x800 , the width is so big for the HTC screen T_T Hope one day an update for Android doesn't have to use crop when set wallpaper . Anyway , thank all

I'm sorry but I think you're mistaken. When the green border comes up, you can expand it to the edges of the 960x800 image, using all of it.

The background moves when you flick between homescreens. Thus it needs to be wider. You can very, very easily expand the crop box so that your full image is used if you set it to the correct resolution!

I had the exact same problems as you quytrong99; none of the apps worked and even using the 960 x 800 still had to be cropped and didn't work but then I tried the Dodol Wallpaper Maker app and it worked - I thought nothing would! I have a HTC Desire S and I used a small picture from the internet (some apps won't let you use downloaded images) and it only cropped a very small amount around the edges which is barely noticeable. I've haven't tried using a large picture yet but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work? Plus it remains stationary when you slide to the other screens. Fantastic! Hope that helps.

I know this might not be the exact answer you are looking for however, it seems to suit the needs of me (How selfish ;))

I just wanted a static background that I'd taken as an image on my phone. My initial plans were, head to the gallery, select the image as a wallpaper - there you go...Haha I wish!

Anyway, you get presented with the crop box - What a nightmare.

I have an app that I was playing around with called "Backgrounds", and as it suggests contains a file base of a few thousand various images, all of which are nice and High-Quality.

It does however (once an image of your choice has been selected) let you choose whether the wallpaper is scrollable or static. <- That's the jackpot.

Once you have selected this it then applies this permanently on your phone untill you go back into the app and change it back to either scrollable or static. (Seems to me like a function that I either cannot find or wasn't put there in the first place).

If you've changed it to static you should now be able to go back to your image and select the whole thing, obviously it won't scroll that little bit like it did before but at least you can now fit that extra close-up of your face and get your chin and your forehead in too :)
