The screens on the phones at the Sprint store all had a ton of finger grease on them, making the screen hard to use.

I always put on an invisible shield type of screen cover, and these help tremendously with reducing grease and keeping it clean.

I installed the skins from Phantom Skinz and am very very impressed. I've used Best Skins Ever in the past and liked them as well.

So I stuck my phone in the microwave as suggested, man what a light show. After trying to remove it, I burned my fingers it was so hot, the plastic feels all soft and the phone will not turn on. Is there a recommended way to firm up the plastic? Also the phone still won't turn on, do you think 60 minutes in the microwave was long enough to dry this phone out? I had to run it under water for about 3 minutes to rinse off all the clearasil.

First, put it in the freezer for about an hour, that should firm up the plastic. But first make sure to remove the battery, this will help speed up the recovery process since you won't have to wait for it to thaw.
Then, remove the phone from the freezer, place the battery back in the phone, and hit the power button. Look just below the Samsung logo and you will see the 'undo' back arrow. Press that repeatedly until you have undone all of the microwave and water damage to the phone. Just be sure not to go too far back...

Just my thoughts here, but I think I may have already gone to far.

Remember! If you go far enough, you'll come around the other side.

Also, you recieved foolish advice. A freezer isn't the proper place for our Moment. Anyone with even half a brain would consider it sacrilege to put our beloved phone in a simple freezer (ick). Liquid Nitrogen is the preferred case cooling vehicle for this phone. When putting the phone into the liquid nitrogen bottle, make sure to gently yet firmly place the phone in the bottom using your bare hand as opposed to sloppily and boorishly dropping it in.

So where does a guy pick up a bottle of liquid nitrogen? I've never been a fan of sloppy boorish work practices, if you say I need to place it into the bottle with bare hands then.......besides I have rather wide hands and if I were to try and wear any gloves my hand would probably get trapped in the neck of the bottle. Imagine trying to explain that to a 911 operator.:eek::eek:

I feel like I will really learn alot about this phone by asking you guys for advice. I am coming from WinMo on a Mogul so the whole Android thing is new to me.

You all are silly.

I have a greasy head (i blame my mom's genetics)....and a quick swipe of the phone face on my shirt or pants does the trick.

I've never been able to embrace screen protectors...and believe me i've tried. Most seem to make the touch surface feel more sticky - which is counterintuitive to sliding gestures etc. IMO.

There's not much available for this phone yet, but stay away from the Urethane based stuff like Invisible Shield or Best Skins Ever if you want to avoid that sticky feel. Fortunately, the Moment has a glass screen that while not impervious to scratches is worlds better than soft plastic resistive screens of WM, Symbian or PalmOS devices.

Ahh, the Mogul! A great phone till it ran out of memory. And then there was the white burn in spot on the screen and the easily broken usb port which doubled as a headset jack and the teeny tiny collapsible stylus that loosened in time and fell out. Sure did have a lot of buttons though! Enjoy your WM free existence!!!

What is the best way to clean the screen on the Moment? Is there a specific product that is recommended to clean the grease and oil from my skin off the unit?
Don't use any chemicals or solvents. De-ionised water is recommended for Laptop screen cleaning. Hence will be applicable to android screens also. Use lint free soft cloth.
both can be obtained from computer stores.
