This has happened to me berfore when flashing. I would try an external card reader if there is information on the card you need to save.

I use my SD card adapter, and it doesn't format on windows, I even booted up disk utilty with os x, and tried formatting, and I waited 12 mins and it was still at the half way mark, so I don't think it was going to work. please help me out.

In that case it could might as well be a dead sd card. I've had that happen to me on a memory stick pro duo... it was a fake 8gb from china. Eventually I found out they take a 4gb card and make it look exactly like the retail 8gb (even when I got it they made the computer think for a bit that it was 8gb big but right off the hop couldnt copy large files to it with out errors). Worked for a while and then just wouldnt format anymore and when going into properties it would say only 4gb and even that wouldnt format. So what I ended up doing was going to a retail store and buying a new one and putting the old on in the box and taking it back saying it didnt work. Shifty yes but oh well I got my money back and a brand new card.

The card actually just got it yesterday it came with the phone.. I think I'm going to try what you said though, go to walmart, buy a 8gb, come back the next day and replace it with the old 8gb and just say its not working.
