So, the warm weather finally arrived and i decided to take the bike out. I have a droid (obviously) and a Tomtom Rider 2 gps, and a Scala rider headset. With my old phones (razr, xv6800) this thing worked perfectly. What is supposed to happen is the phone is paired to the GPS, and the headset is paired to the GPS.

The audio from the GPS works fine, it kicks on my headset and tells me directions. However, when i try to use the phone, i get nothing... If i start a call or accept a call, it fails to turn on the headset. When in a call, the "bluetooth" button on the bottom of the phone is not activated, and even manually activating it doesn't help.

Finally, BT DUN doesnt work, but i understand thats a limitation of the android OS, and i can live without it.

I'm not sure if I ever had this working before 2.1

So, has anyone managed to get this thing working ? the GPS almost got chucked through the window yesterday.. haha.. The more i use bluetooth, the more i think it was a half baked idea.

Ah, well that would explain it. The funny thing is that it did work a few times, just not that times that i "needed" it to work. It's odd because you have to pair the phone with the gps and then pair the gps to the headset. either way it's working great now.

Now go root your phone !! Seriously, i did mine yesterday and it took about 30 minutes. Then they changed the instructions and i didn't have to wipe the phone, and i completed my friends phone in about 5 minutes, and all the apps/etc. stayed !
