Having To Switch From My Eris.

It's too bad, really. I love the phone. I just can't afford it the data plan anymore. So, tomorrow or Saturday, I am switching to the Samsung Reality. From what I heard, it's a good phone, and it has quite a few features I have come to love on the Eris.

Hopefully, when I get a job during the school year, I will be able to afford the data again. I plan on keeping my Eris and going back to it when I have a bit more money.

I just wanted to say, until I return, thanks for all your help with this phone and the tips to make it not suck. I'll probably lurk on here and post maybe once every so often. This really is one of the best communities I have found on the Interwebz.

Peace.

My mom has an upgrade, so I'm using hers to get my new phone. So I won't be paying an early termination fee. And since the smartphones are all required to have a $30 a month plan on them, I can't drop the data or anything. I would go without data and use WiFi on this phone if I could.

And yes, all but a few phones require a $10 a month data plan. Which is much more affordable for me. There are only a few phones that don't require data, which have pretty much absolutely nothing but the phone feature. For me, the Reality is a great choice because it has the touch screen and three home screens, widgets, and a bonus is the physical keyboard, the one thing I wish the Eris had. And I wish they offered tiered data plans. That would be a lot better for me =[
