Root To root or not to root?

Oh and the question is what are some of the things that rooting does for you? Is it worth terminating your warranty?

What was wrong with NZtechfreak's answer. He gave you plenty of good info....

In addition to his posting i would have to say that wifi tethering would be the only reason i would root my phone...

I'm. Still looking for a solid answer on whether or not wifi tethering is going to be incorporated into the froyo 2.2 update for our phones...
