Droid getting Froyo next week, Droid X? Not so much...

Damn, that bothers me a little. Considering we just purchased what is supposed to be the cutting edge device, we're going to be updated AFTER the original, discontinued Droid.?? hmmmm.

*Takes a breather*

I love my Droid-X just the way it is.

Remember the Original Droid is a Vanilla device. Meaning it is bone stock Android and requires much less dev and testing to have 2.2 ready for it than a device with blur.

Yeah, I know.....but it's still hard to accept considering Blur doesn't add anything to the phone that makes it worth the wait for 2.2. This is really why I jumped ship from HTC, because Sense was taking too long to develop upgrades that were compatible.

Hey, long time no talk!!

Trust me, we are starting to spit the bit over in the Incredible forum too! This news is a little more annoying than just dealing with the rumors.

Totally understand the raw OS on the D1 and all, but VZW should still update our phones (DX and DI) first.

I'm not surprised by this, considering that it was already known that the original Droid was going to be first in getting 2.2 before the X.

Yeah that was announced awhile back people just need to relax they have to make sure they send it out in the best working shape they can. Would you want them to rush and you have mulitple problems on your phone or wait a little while longer and it be nearly perfect? Im fine with waiting the little while extra im in no rush the X is amazing how it is.
