RiDATA 16GB Class 6 MicroSDHC?

Anyone have this SD card and have a good experience with it? It's cheap, and most reviews say its good.

If you need the extra GB's, then it's probably a good deal.
I wouldn't do it just for the higher class though... if that's what you were going for.

I've been searching for a class 6, 16gb card for a while now and I see reviewers that tested these cheap ones to just find out that the sandisk's class 2 outperforms them in speed anyway. So I'm holding back and will just get the 32gb Sandisk when the price drops

From past experience, and what I've read here, I'd say that a higher class isn't going to make a huge difference. Chances are you won't even notice the speed increase from the card.

i bought the same one from newegg and i have not had any issues with it. i wanted a 16gb for my music. i didnt notice any speed difference but i have plenty of room for my music !!!

$49 for an SD card... I'd pass. That's how much I paid for the phone when I got it... so that's a pretty absurd "upgrade" IMO. Unless you really need it for some reason, but that just doesn't seem likely...

Even using Apps2SD on the stock card, I don't notice any degradation in performance. The only apps I keep internal are the ones that I use widgets (which of course is only a few). I honestly don't think it will make a noticeable difference, at least not enough to justify doubling the price of the phone.

I may be wrong, but I remember reading on here or XDA that Froyo ROMs don't like partitioned SD cards? Will I need a separate SD card just to use a Froyo ROM or can I keep my partitioned SD card and Froyo ROM together?

I haven't heard anything about Froyo not working with partitioned cards. But if it's true, jus reformat yor current card and you are good.

Again, my advice would be if you need a bigger card, find a cheaper 16GB. Even if it's a 2 class.
If money isn't an issue, then go for it.

Works great. And pretty good deal for about $30 with shipping. Same card runs for $70 from Best Buy.

Ok, so can I just put the SD card into a SD card reader, format it as fat32, put a froyo rom onto the Sd card, put it into my Eris, boot into recovery, and flash a froyo rom?

Check into Transcend cards. I've always had a good experience with them.
