anyone else getting high android system in the battery use. after a restart itll stay normal but about 10 mins in(with phone off) itll jump up to over 90%

im at 54 mins uptime and 14 awake time mins and its at 95% and phone idle / cell standby using the rest

just wondering if im the only one

I bet it is as well, I keep on killing them with advanced task killer, and they just will not stay closed. like 10 of them keep popping back up, esp stupid ones like the engadget app. Its kinda frustrating, 2.1 never had this issue.

I'm not sure if you noticed my post in the other thread where all the install fun started.

Task killing protocols have changed significantly for 2.2.

Have you checked if ATK is 2.2-safe/capable?

If it isn't, note that Advanced Task Cleaner Pro is.

There's actually 2 versions in the market, which is the one I should get?

Pro or 2.0?

EDIT: It doesn't work -_-. Even if i stop the Engadget widget service, it just restarts again. WTF!!

The Pro for Task Cleaner - the guy sure keeps a lot of revs.

And - I've had one FC on it tonight already - but I think I found it was colliding with the sister Startup Cleaner - still checking that.

And - I'm not slagging ATK - it's that I don't _know_ if it's 2.2 safe.

Do you know what changed in 2.2 for task managing?

I'll track that down for you.

The update of ATCPro gave a fairly long screen explaining what/how things would change.

Functionally, however - before with this same version in 2.1 - if I wanted to kill an app, I tapped its name and selected End Task and I was done.

Now on 2.2 when I do the same thing, same app, it takes me inside the app killer inside Froyo's own application management.
