Trying to create LauncherPro-style icons in photoshop

My new dock :D

From left to right:

Dialer
- Shows missed call count

Social folder
- Shows unread sms count
- Contains... lots of social apps

App Drawer
- Standard

Internet folder
- Shows unread gmail count
- Contains Browser, Bookmarks folder, Email, Gmail, Market, Dropbox, and Info folder containing news apps and such

Mixzing
- Standard. I like it because it doubles as a music player and a video player.

LauncherPro Forum • View topic - LauncherPro Photoshop layer style

couldn't be simpler!

i now have a custom set of icons on my LP dock and they look great :D
I have Adobe Photoshop CS2, but never used styles. Can someone give a quick run-down on how to use the "LauncherPro.asl" found on Blacksheep's link?

I'm currently using ADW.Launcher and I preferred it over LauncherPro because I could customize which apps are at the bottom. Now it looks like you not only can add your apps to LauncherPro, it looks like you can customize it too. I would like to try it, but I don't see the Photoshop styles even though the Styles is checked in the drop-down menu.

I have posted 3 video tutorials on this subject at bit.ly/lpicons.

There are already several icons for common apps submitted by users all of which are free for download on that website too.

I also have an app on the market that makes downloading the icons a one-click process at bit.ly/LPiOnAppbrain

Wow, thanks, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a video is worth a million.

By the way, the link for the app on appbrain is dead.

How do you place a folder in launcherpro dock? Do you make a shortcut of it with bettercut or something first?
