What Phone are You Stuck With....

Stuck with a Samsung Moment for the Moment. Its not a bad phone but it has some issues with the Data locking up, the "crazy screen" when hooked to the charger and random re reboots after first boot ups (due to rooting?), and just general slowness. Its actually way slower than its ever been before. Not sure if my data is being throttled or not but I am over 5GB's.

Also, the screen is so tiny it strains my eyes bad :(

If I can't get an early upgrade, I'll probably fork over the cash for the off contract price

Hero here, never really experienced the issues everyone else has had with it other then the dialing lag. But then again I am rooted running fresh and an oc. Also got it the day before official release and am eligible October 1st. But I am going to wait to see what everyone else is experiencing with the Epic after it's release and everyone puts it through it's paces.

I have a co-worker who is having issues as well on her iphone 3g after ios 4. Sad really...

The sad part is, I went into the Apple store (which was overflowing with people at 3PM on a weekday), and the genius bar kid told me there was no way to backout the install to revert to ios3. But supposedly Apple is aware of this and investigating options...

What are you guys having to live with til you get your Epic?

I wouldn't say stuck. I have the mytouch slide. I really really love the phone. But I promised myself that if a phone came out that I really wanted, I would go get it and sell the phone.

I'm strongly thinking about jumping carriers to get the Epic but i have to know more - so, I will wait until after release. I want to know for sure the GPS is working and working well. Also, knowing when it will get 2.2 is important.

Samsung Glyde here. This thing sucks hard. the weird thing is if you look at the Glyde it has similarities to the epic (physically).

Not to rag on your current device but it looks like such a toy... 3 row keyboard? What was samsung thinking, lollll.

I currently have a Sprint Hero, rooted and running fresh's 2.3.3. Don't have a lot to complain about, experience a LITTLE lag but it works pretty smooth the majority of the time. Just kind of excited to be going back to a physical keyboard with the Epic. This along with the screen and front facing camera should be a sweet experience.

I have the moment. I got the Moment when it first came out and it was great. Then things started to well you know...Then 2.1 came out. I tried to update and my phone froze and was dead. I got it exchanged....then things started really happening....freezing....restarts...couldn't make calls for 20 min...then it would restart and that would take 20 min.....I like the keyboard and android and want the EPIC.

But I will say is that on Friday on my way home my phone restarted again and it took 45 min....So I hard reset....and I don't know what that did, but my moment is like new again.....still getting the Epic but have not experienced any lock ups or restarts...oh wait...when turning on wifi and then turning off...I still have to restart phone to get the data back....lol

I have a Moment that has been rooted... and I have a Palm Pre... that is sitting on the charger at home, forwarding calls to the Moment.
Moment +'s include a very beautiful screen (AMOLED kills LCD), nice form factor, lots of buttons, Android 2.1 as an OS decent P/S camera. Its -'s are the lack of memory, bad radio, awful camcorder, overally sluggishness even with ROMS....

The Pre's +'s include, nice screen, nice camera..

-'s (For me, coming rom Winmo and Android) the OS is not as intuitive as I would, or perhaps it is TOO intuitive.... The hardware buttons suck... to me... and there is not enough FREE apps on the Web OS catalogue....

I'm stuck with a crappy Samsung A920 with a broken outer screen and oodles of problems. I bought an EVO on launch day, but the damned thing died a week after I bought it. The screen crapped out and I couldn't find a replacement. It's ended up being a boon though, since the Epic is what I originally wanted in a super-phone.
