I know its a lil late but just want to throw in my .02$

I work for verizon so I get to play with all the phones etc.. I had an HTC ozone previously and loved that, but WinMo was lacking to say the least.

ive been playing with the moto droid since it came out. ended up switching to the droid in january. I love the phone it does everything I need it to. my next phone will be a droid. unless, WP7 knocks it out of the ball park. I love my zune HD and having that in my phomne is a huge selling point for me

I never really liked CNN when it came to objective reporting.. for a supposedly 'neutral' party they seem to have an agenda.
I have fond memories in recent weeks of the iPhone issue getting a small link at the bottom of the page and when Google stopped selling the Nexus one it had a huge image in the center of the page saying something to the effect of the Nexus one being a failure.

That, and every Apple article seems to be pro-Apple
So I am not surprised they are now running a 'will you buy Android again' poll someplace.
Probably with an Apple ad on the page.

So fox news doesn't have an agenda?!!! Every news Corp has an agenda, especially fox news. Bunch of racist assholes.

I must say that I would buy another android phone because it is solid and is the only substitute to apple at the time. That's only because I have an iPad to fulfill my ios needs. Android is ok and all but it's apps suck when it comes to quality. Sure it's open and u can do more stuff, but I'm not a nerd, so I don't need to twirk the software just to add lackluster features. I'm fine with less features that give me an excellent experiences. I think this is what it boils down too. Most of you android fanatics would choose iPhone and ios if it offered the freedom that android does. U understand that ios is actually the better os but The fact that most apple fanboys are arrogant and irritating adds to the dislike of the existence of apple. You nerds dont care about possible phone viruses. U just want to be able to do what you want. It's understandable. It is your phone once you buy it. U feel apple wants to control everything. You might be right, but what business doesn't? can we just get over this and move along. You like andrpid, he doesnt! Gosh. The crazy thing Bout all if this is that if apple were to move to just one more carrier in the U.S. android wouldn't be done, but it would def take a huge hit. Android owns the market right now, but best believe it doesn't control it. Apple controls this market. You guys won't admit it, but if and when apple goes to verizon or sprint, we are going to see a lot of android traders. There going to switch to ios so fast itll be ridiculous.

As long as your needs fall within that feature set, then your experience will be good. If you require more, then you are going to have a less than excellent experience.

The most specious comment I've heard in a long time. I don't dislike Apple or the iPhone, I dismiss it because something suits my needs better.

No, because Apple is the only company maintaining a stranglehold after the sale.

The largest group of people who are going to switch will be current iPhone users who dislike AT&T. A boon for Verizon or Sprint, but hardly a bonanza for Apple, although with Verizon's CDMA network they'd have to sell them new handsets. Look at the global model. The iPhone is available across multiple carriers and Android's growth is similar to that of the U.S. suggesting that the AT&T argument is misplaced speculation.

Yes I would absolutley by an Android phone again. In february I bought my first Android, a HTC Tattoo. And I really liked it with all these features. I came from a Sony Ericsson T700 so it was a big jump. Now I have a Desire and have had it for about 3 week, and wau that's the phone I wan't to keep for a long time, but let's see. Normally I change my phone about once in the year. Now my wife are using my "old" Tatto and she also really like Android.

lol.....I dont see alot of folks leaving Android for the iPhone. This is 2010, not 2008. There are alot of very nice Android phones out this year, the OS has gotten better with each version. Remember the hardware has gotten better on these phones too.

By the time the iPhone comes to Verizon and/or Sprint, most ppl with current Android phones or with the ones coming out later this year and next year, most folks will be very happy with their Android phone.

And ppl with the older Android phones that will have upgrades due before the iPhone comes, I can see them either going Android again with the current crop or the crop coming later this year and next year...or trying Win 7 phones. The iPhone will sell well on Verizon and/or Sprint, but I dont see it cutting into Android sales that much, so much that Android will be in trouble on Verizon and/or Sprint. I feel Its too late for the iPhone to have that kinda impact. Android will be fine.

Now, if Android was never invented...and it was Win Mo vs. iPhone on Verizon...the iPhone already proved they're Win Mo's daddy.

Android + the hardware is that good...it is what it is.

I would definitely buy another Android phone, and WILL most definitely buy an android tablet. however, I don't tik I'll be buying any of the current crop of high end android phones. First, my current contract doesn't expire until december 2011; second, my phone works very well as it is; third, It seems to me that both hardware and android software are currently in a major state of flux.

I want to wait until the next gen of hardware comes out. We keep hearing rumors of multi core processors, and android redesigned for even better functionality and a better user interface (can we say bumpstop?). /when I upgrade I'd like to do it to something like that. As for a tablet, the entire current cop of android tablets sucks. So long as they continue to be focused on entertainment, and have processors with relatively limited capability, I'm not sure I'll be interested that much.

I can't wait to see a tablet designed for battery life, use standard memory slots (read regular SD cards and USB, not mini or micro), uses multiple core processors, has a large HD capable screen (not 400x600), has DVI/HDMI out, has capacitive and stylus input capabilities, has large onboard memory (as well as the ability to plug in more than one SD card), has a wirless N card, is able to be connected to a computer via a standard connector (and it would be nice f there was the ability for automatic syncing of specified files with a computer when connected), and most importantly it should come with some practical software such as a simple word processor that students can use to take notes, and a book reader where students and people can download books and have the ability to add notes on a separate panel.

Such a device I would see as being very usable for more than just entertainment. I envision something like that as a tablet students can keep in their backpack and download their textbooks into. Imagine being able to buy college text books for a fraction of the price and simply download them directly to your tablet? Imagine having a big enough screen that you can split it in two, having your text book on one side and a note pad on the other. Imagine teachers being able to organize field trips and track the location of students with the GPS tags in their tablets. Imagine being able to share files by simply bumping tablets. Imagine being able to do a live video conference with multiple members of a study group while at the same time being able to work and see everyone elses's work.

aside form all the practical functionalities, you would still have games and all the standard array of apps available to the market.

entertainment and real world usability, with the battery and computing power to match. That's what I would like to see.

This post about school use is something I never thought about. This would be real convenient, no more carrying 3-5 books...

This would be a great post to make in that topic about "Tablets, are they worth it?"
