Did HTC take away the car home from froyo, this was of the features i was looking forward to the most. This is different than the car panel that on sense. Car home allows you to customize what is displayed on the panel as far as i know car panel does not, I would really like a music button. Here is a link to what car home looks like on normal Froyo scroll down the page.

I'd like the stock Gallery app ... need to find that again.

On a side note, as I posted on another thread (sorry for cross posting).

A few days ago, my wife's EVO started showing the HTC 2.2 Car Panel when she would hit the home key - vice it going to the 7 screens.

She showed me before I went to bed. I thought maybe she had downloaded an app that made it do that.. had no idea what it was.

Last night, it stopped doing that.

Her phone isn't rooted, does NOT have 2.2 on it. I looked thru the apps, and there is NO car panel there. I am 99.99% sure it was the car panel I was looking at in retrospect.. I even showed her my 2.2 car panel this morning, asked her if that's what she had on hers, she said, "Yup.. was on there for several days." really really odd... her phone somehow was on digital roaming as well... not sure if that had something to do with or not. Her phone still shows 2.1.... shrug.

I hadn't used the HTC car panel (on my Incredible) in a while since I don't find it really useful, but turned it on after reading this thread to remind myself what it looked like. I didn't realize it before, but the car panel activates the GPS (if it's turned on) and keeps it on. So if you leave the GPS on all the time like I do, just keep in mind that Car Panel will use up battery faster by just being on.

Hopefully most people using it are plugged into power in their vehicle anyway. They've probably done so that nav and search apps start up faster. It needs more updating. Need to be able to change the default apps. The Navigation is stuck to Google which I don't use that much.
