led blinks?

i just got my mytouch slide, and i previously had a g1..and it sounds lame but one of my favorite parts was that i could change the led blink when i had messages, and i could customize the color for different people with handcent...but now it doesnt seem to work. is it just the way the phone is?

get out ! you cant change the led color ? i have the G1 too and im expecting my slide to come in the mail sometime this week . i really liked that feature too did you try what afouler said ?
