What changes do YOU see with Froyo 2.2?

I just found a change!!!

And it was one of my biggest original complaints, but didn't seem an issue to anybody else. Anyways, the change is in my Yahoo-based mailbox running through the stock Evo mail app. I was frustrated that when I deleted or read an email on my cpmputer, it did not reflect that on my Evo. I had to mark as read or delete on the Evo itself. I just never bothered and lived with 99+ all the time.

Well that's changed now. If you delete an email on the computer now, it's also gone from the phone email inbox.

Anyone else notice this change? Or did have the wrong settings all along before?

Has anyone noticed a new option under "Accessibility" (Menu--settings--accessibility). Prior to the update there was nothing you could do here. It was greyed out. Now there is an option to download accessibility related applications. It also gives you a choice to download a screen reader app from the Market.
Has anyone tried this out yet?

Well i checked everything out, everything is the exact same thing. The only difference i see between the two evos is that the official one has a brighter screen. I'm not sure if mines has a defect before the OTA's or what but tahts about it.

the .3 update changed my display brightness setting from automatic to just under 50%. i changed it back to automatic and it's nice and bright. check it out on yours.

Well since people with OTA are starting to post camera issues, and market apps not showing up. It basically looks like nothing was changed but the number.

Just waiting for the flash/website issue to pop up and then we'll know for sure.

no issues with Flash on websites, tried cnn.com and ESPN and both played vids no problem. Did not require a hard reset after update. Only reboots done were during the update.

Tried on my phone hardare ver.2 and wife's phone hardware ver.3

OMG, after update and performing first manual reboot it almost seemed like every app is now running. I can see why battery life might be worse. But will give a full charge overnight and checks results.

awake time does not equal sleep time which is good.

Typically get 12-13hrs after full charge after moderate use.

All these updates are fine and dandy, but basic functionality is still very lacking.

I can't sort contacts lastname, firstname

WFT?

You can, but it's a one-at-a-time process.

Open a contact > Menu> Edit. At the top you'll see the contact's name in a text box. Tap that, and it'll ask for First name, Last name, and Display name order.

Luckily I don't have that many contacts.

I also noticed something changed on my contacts. For the contacts that I have linked to twitter accounts, those contacts are now using the twitter image instead of the google image. I had to go in and change each contact to use the google image instead. I'm not sure if there was a way to change all of them at once to use the google image by default.

Also noticed that I am not able to use the Droid X multi-touch keyboard. I'm assuming once Droid X gets Froyo then we'll see an update for it. I really liked that keyboard.

Yes, iv noticed this also. I had some 20 emails in my inbox on my phone. After 2.2 i checked my mail on my phone and all the emails were gone. I guess it was because i received my emails on my computer in outlook and when i do that they become removed from the email server. I wish there was a setting to keep the emails on my phone even after receiving them on my outlook On my computer.

in the youtube app that comes with the EVO all the videos that sprint or HTC deemed too inappropriate for viewers were filtered out.there is a button in the app settings called safesearch filtering that was suppost to deactivate this blockage but it was dimmed and when you pressed it nothing would happen.now with the new 2.2 update the option to deactivate the filter is nice and bright and selectable.LET THE ASS SHAKING IN HQ COMENCE!!!:D:D:D
