Anyone experience weak bluetooth connectivity with the Eris?

My stereo bluetooth headset gets choppy even if it's a few feet from my phone. I don't know if it's the phone's bluetooth signal or the headset. If the phone is in my pocket and I'm walking the shake from my step causes the signal to cut out. weird.

I wanna ask others who use stereo bluetooth if they see this.

When it's connected, it's fine.

It has dropped the connection a couple of times on me, though.

This is with built-in systems in my cars.

from the reviews i've read on the s9's and s9hd's, it's a problem with the headset. Great concept poorly executed. The BT link is so weak on them, and usually the phone has to be on an arm band of some sorts while working out/running/biking etc to keep a decent connection.

Unrelated to BT, i heard those s9's are prone to shorting out due to heavy sweat... oi. Wish someone else would make a reasonable priced form-factored headset like the s9 :(

The S9 is garbage.
I am on my 4th replacement pair. With it I received a letter from Motorola saying thats it!

The original Commercial / ads / Websites for it showed people using them to workout. If you have a pair and have not done "Anything" that may cause you to sweat, Don't. This will in a short period cause them to malfunction. My first pair died on a short 5 mile jog. If you have perspired while wearing it and yours did not die, consider yourself lucky and or about to be among the deceased. It is not a question of if, but when, will the unit die.

The Bluetooth capability in them is spotty at best especially when used with the phone. If the phone or ipod is with you and is moving it needs to be real close to the receiver. I clip my ipod to the back collar of my shirt when using it. Forget about putting it in your pockets you will just be disappointed.

Oddly, If the phone or ipod are on a fixed, non moving line of sight surface you can get as far as 15 +/- feet away as long as you are headset is pointing towards the transmitter - aka walking away, since the receiver part hangs off the back of your head. and still get decent reception.

BTW a fix for the perspiration problem is to wrap the unit in one coat of plastic wrap or get a head set that has those older foamy pieces for the ear bud part and jam them on it.
but either way, the S9 will die sooner, rather then later.
