Help Make the dial pad show on incoming calls by default?

has anyone added this as an issue at the android code site? I'd like to have the dialpad always show by default.. why have the stupid android graphic take up most of the screen and make me push another button to get the dialpad?

This is not an issue. If you do that your phone will start answering call accident in your pockets there for wearing out your battery if you never notice this plus others will hear your conversations. This was not an issue with the BB Storm cause you had to physically press and click the screen (for example). They should make it an options but I wouldn't call it an issue.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I meant once a call is actually placed, the dialpad should show by default. In you are in a call, you don't have to worry about things in your pocket hitting buttons because it will be against your ear, and the nice feature that knows when you are holding it against your ear will prevent your ear from hitting buttons, and when you bring the phone down in front of your, boom! the dialpad will be there and ready instead of the android graphic staring at you...

the dial pad setup is the worst on the android.
I want the dial pad to remain as a dial pad on the screen from the start to the end of the call..
It is annoying to place a call and hear a computer on the other end say press this and then do this and i do not have a dial pad showing.
Is there an app...or does google or some developer have to improve this...it it important...Thank you

while using the phone today.....my cheek touched the screen and the speaker went on....and in the wrong place...everything was very very quiet...and then my speaker sounded..
I had a lot of important calls to make and i had to keep using that dial pad while the computerized person on the other end was telling me what to press...and of course the screen was darkened and no dial pad visible...and i am hurrying so i do not lose the connection...very very poor system..oh well

I agree, I would like to see an option to have the dial pad show up on incoming/outgoing calls so I can hit numbers quickly. Namely for google voice call presentation, but I could see this for other purposes. At the very least a lot of screen space seems to be wasted while in a call (for instance, what is with the small contact pictures?).

Further, it would be nice to have the google voice app recognize an incoming google voice call and present a simple menu of the options so you don't have to hit numbers.

i keep searching the market for an app hoping that someone will replace the dial pad....I am not happy with most of the android software from google. Terrible contact with terrible search function. I was happy to find Aurora and downloaded it...it will find most anything. I cannot believe how poor the search function is that is installed in the google software.
The Calendar is terrible too. I am glad i found Calendar Pad so i can see more of the calendar in a better way.
Also i do not like a black background with white text. it makes it more difficult to read...If a black background was so desirable our email would have it....and so would the doctors eye charts. Wake up google and get good smart thinking software developers....or just copy the palm.
