Root Problem faced with HTC Desire T Mobile!

How do i debrand my HTC Desire without sim locking it? I have unlocked it using an unlock code and now I'm using a different carrier but the problem is that i have lost the unlock code and can't risk sim locking it again. I want to root and upgrade it to 2.2 without using the goldcard method, is that possible?

It can happen on very rare occasions, there were a couple on one of the xda threads had experienced this.
That's the only reason i know about it.

that's very odd.. would a new unlock code do the trick? i would have thought that the phone would recognise as already being unlocked, so wouldn't accept another sim code..

You would get the same unlock code as its tied to your imei,
that's why you should always keep a note of your unlock code.

Depends how long ago it was unlocked.

This guide is so damn complicated. I thought the shift from apple to android would be easier.

you get a lot more freedom with android than you do with apple..
