I'm seriously getting pissed at this waiting game. I've been anticipating this phone for so long now. I just wanted to vent and see if anyone else has gone through the same stages as me....excited, impatient, annoyed, and now actually angry.

I guess if I had a better phone I wouldn't mind so much. I also passed up switching to Verizon to get the MotoDroid for this phone..

Just think of it this way, hopefully they are doing their due diligence on this phone to ,make sure when they release it that there is no hic ups. Now if and when it comes out there is a lot of bugs etc, then we can be pissed. But for now I would rather wait for a phone until they are ready to release it with confidence that it will not fail.

I've gone from wanting an Evo to wanting an Epic 4G, and hopefully I can get one at launch.

Same here. I was waiting for the Evo for about two months. It released and I was so close to getting one. It it wasnt for the Sprint store being so busy when I went in to put my name on the waiting list I would have an Evo. Then I heard about the Galaxy S line and then the Epic 4g. So now I've been waiting to get my first smartphone for four months now!

i have the evo, but im honestly tired of all touch screen devices. but the rest with hard keyboards sucked. now the epic is eventually coming and i cant wait. a keyboard plus the features of the latest high end phones.... im ecstatic but also very annoyed. i just want to hear/read the phone is being released on blah blah date. ok, then im done allocating funds and figuring out which bill im going to pay late to get the epic =).

I think we are all a little annoyed with sprint, but this seems to be what they do with major releases. I highly doubt they are taking time to get the phone as close to perfect as possible. We all know once it releases this whole forum will be filled with people complaining about every aspect of the phone(some legit and some not). It seems sprint just moves slow when it comes to this, Im just hoping that when they do announce the release date it won't be more than 2 weeks away from the announcement.

I am looking to switch my whole family over to Sprint and pick up 4 Epic's. I have been using the AT&T Captivate for the past 2 weeks and am absolutely loving it. Switched form iPhone 3G.

My 30 day "trial" is up on the Captivate on August 25, so I hope the Epic launches by then. Otherwise, I return the Captivate and use my 3G until Epic hits the street.

I too am checking these websites several times per day.

BTW, the Galaxy S is unbelievable. I have gone into Verizon and Sprint with it and the employees are in awe of the Samsung screen. IMO, it blows away the picture on any Verizon Droid and the Evo.
