UPDATE: It appears this issue has been confirmed (Link)

While speaking with a 2nd level technical support rep regarding a phone on our account (Droid 1 with OTA received yesterday that all of a sudden had both a proximety sensor & wifi/bt radio failure), he said that the rollout had been stopped to evaluate the high number of issues being found in the wild.

I realize that this is not a concrete source, but thought it would be worth sharing.

Other than some small dislikes (Silent/Vibrate & Multimedia Dock),this forced 2.2 is working great.

Anyone heard more? Could this have something to do with the later build that is floating around?

Probably. Since the FRG22 build is already leaked from Motorola, it's possible that it included some important bug fixes and they are going to push that version instead. Who knows though, he could have just been blowing smoke.

I think its probable that there will be another update. It took the nexus two OTAs to get Froyo right. After 2.1 was released for Droid we didnt see any other builds until 2.2. I dont think Motorola would keep making builds for the Droid unless there was a problem. They have enough other phones to update and release

For those who have already installed this, don't freak out, you will be able to install the new update right over this one. For those who have not already installed this, it's probably best to wait until next week. Stay tuned for more information..
