Help I want 2.1 back!!

I have a stock EVO, I have not hacked it in any way, nor installed the unofficial update. I was excited about the 2.2 upgrade and ran it yesterday.

1. Flash does not work. I can not get a flash video from any site
2. Several of my apps (GPS apps Copilot, Sygic) now crash every time they are opened.
3. Even though this has not been tested, I have heard that the battery life is less on 2.2. It is not too great on 2.1, but was OK for me.

The phone does seem more responsive, and I like being able to use a PIN number to lock my phone, but my phone was PERFECT before the "upgrade". Does anybody have any ideas? Is there a 2.1 file that can be downloaded? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with 2.2, if you cant find flash in the market feel free to PM me, I have the APK file that installs flash to your phone (you dont need to be rooted or anything) And as far as the GPS apps not working, have you tried reinstalling them?

I'm confused, I thought Flash came with froyo? Is there something else additional that needs to be downloaded.

I did not realize Flash had to be installed from the Market! DOH! I thought it was part of the 2.2 upgrade. I just installed it, but it still does not work. My connection here at work is not very good, however, so I will try it again at home. I was able to get Copilot working by installing a more recent version of it. Sygic, which was my favorite, does not work after a reinstall.

the way they word flash for 2.2 is confusing. its not included in froyo BUT foryo supports it whereas 2.1 wont run it even though its the same APK file. I notice most of the time that flash is pretty useless but for the site Kongregate its well worth it. micro olympics on droidFTW!

Hulu is blocked. I don't know about CBS, but it probably is too. Try Fox.com, I was watching Glee off of there.

Yeah, a lot of the elitist more snooty sites bend over backwards to block mobile browsers because they're desperately working on ways to get people to pay extra for shit that's free elsewhere. I've heard that fennec has various hacks and work-arounds to fool hulu into thinking that you're using FireFox on a desktop pc.

I removed and reinstalled Flash. Now when I go to Fox.com and try to play a video, the browser crashes. I am using the Dolphin browser. aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!

I think flash only works in stock browser for now. some people had to do a hard reset for it to work, my evo had no problems though. The flash video set-up kinda sucks anyway, after seeing how my palm pres flash would of worked, its disappointing that android is such a bad media phone. Also, it is preinstalled with evo's update at least. good luck dude. Try flash droid app and see if the games work for you, they are all flash based.

What is the flash player even called? I searched for it in the marketplace and it's not showing up at all. Just a bunch of apps that require flash.

Search Flash 10.1. If it doesn't come up, search on the net for flash beta 3 apk and download and install it.

Yea strange hulu wont play says something not capable blah blah, but i can see the top menu screen the previews but when i click on a show to see if it works get same message, im running stock EVO, funny thing is i can watch pr0n webcams or any other flash based webcams HAHAHA

Actually flash DID come included with the evo's update, 10.1 installs with it.
