Legend Android newest update. 2.1 update 1

Updated to latest a few days ago & for some reason when i receive a text now on my Legend i click on the sender & it now displays the oldest texts 1st (top of the page) where as before it would show the newest at the bottom of the page, im sure its just happened since the last update or any ideas from anybody, maybe i changed a setting or something, not sure.

I have the exact same problem.
Pretty sure it is caused by the 2.1 update 1 since I haven't changed anything else.

UPDATE:
Just phoned HTC today & they said that this problem has came about since the last update & they have escalated the problem & will be 'Fixed' in the next update.

I have the same problem, just got this response from HTC:

Regarding your messages being displayed as oldest to newest instead of the newest to oldest. HTC are aware of this problem thats been caused in there update, and will be releasing a fix for this issue soon. I have informed the escalation team, but as of yet nobody can do anything (software related) to fix this issue. All i can suggest is to either wait until the update/fix arrives for your phone, or if it is a major problem, we can book your phone in for a repair which will fix this issue, but rollback your phone software to 2.1 Aside from this, the update was to improve overall performance of the device, support HTML5 and Flash on the internet, and to imporve the stabililty of sending/receiving texts.

i have also updated my Legend today and now i cant import my sim contacts to phone mem, it just crashes without copying anything.. any one having same prob ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one having the text message problem - it's VERY annoying so I hope it gets fixed soon - but in my experience they're not often in a rush to fix these bugs so I won't hold my breath...

Hey, i have the same problem but even one more since i've installed update 1.

Everytime I close down my Legend and after that restart it, it will automatically send old textmessages to randomfriends. Does anybody have the same problem?

I don't think I've restarted my phone since the update was applied - and reading this I don't think I want to!

I can't believe after nearly a whole month they still haven't fixed such a trivial issue...

People with the problem regarding the message app displaying oldest messages first just download handcent sms from the Android Market!! It is a much cooler and better message app anyway and fully customizable!!

hi all. i got this problem with displaying oldest texts first, very annoying. Should i wait for next 2.1 fix upgrade, downdload handcent or download 2.2 froyo? Very new to android and i am not vert techie so simple easy answers if possible.

Hi the 2.2 update fixes this. you can tell your phone to get this through MENU > Settings > about phone (you might want to make sure you're near a wifi network first though as it's a hefty download!

Do both. First get the 2.2 Froyo (read other topics regarding its optimization) and then get Handcent. It's really the best app for messaging.
