"I just got back from a Sprint meeting, where the reps offered me a peek at the pre-release beta of the Epic 4G, the carrier’s much-anticipated Galaxy S phone. I managed to shoot some footage, so while I’m working on editing and uploading that, here are some pics to whet your appetite (below).

This Sammie phone is the only Galaxy S with a front-facing camera (1.3 mp) and rear camera (5 mp), along with an LED flash. Like the name suggests, it’s a 4G/3G phone that packs in several goodies, including a hardware QWERTY keyboard, Super AMOLED 4” screen, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, Wifi b/g/n, hotspot functionality, TouchWiz 3.0 and Android 2.1 (upgradeable to 2.2, “Froyo”).

Sadly, Sprint didn’t have availability and pricing yet, though the Android blogs today have been positing August 11th as a rumored date.

More to come. Stay tuned!"

One's for notification LED and the other is a proximity sensor..

Yeah I think the one near the camera is the Notification LED. That leaves the three on the other side of the phone, which are in the exact same configuration as the ones on the Moment. I actually think two of them are combined to make the proximity sensor, and the largest one is the ambient light sensor.

Love the pics with the Evo, Epic and Iphone...wow the Iphone looks small...LOL...I like the rounded corners and the smiley icon....it's like it's smiling saying it's ok to play with greatness.

In case you're new to forums, I'll put this nicely: don't quote images. We've already seen them once, we don't need to waste time re-processing the images and re-scrolling through them, it's very annoying.
