Can any of you experts with android explain a few items regarding gmail and the built-in browser.

Why does gmail not shrink to fit on the screen of the X. I have to scroll. With the Incredible it fits the screen nicely and I can read it <- the best

Why is there no "copy/paste" with gmail. <- the worst

Same with the browser. When I first open the web page, the browser fits the page, but the text is so tiny. Tap to zoom results in having to scroll. Pinch to zoom too. I have played with the text size settings and zoom settings to no end.

Any help would be appreciated.

Gmail doesn't seem to resize at all. Mine though does fit on one screen so not sure why yours is so big you have to scroll. Have you changed font sizes or something.?

As for the web once you pinch to zoom you need to double tap to resize to fit the screen. I like xScope browser zoom feature the best where you tap and then swipe your finger to zoom or unzoom.
Check out some of the other browsers on the market some are very nice. Also Skyfire can watch flash videos until we get flash and it's a pretty slick browser also.

Email that has images seem to make the scrolling happen. I never really paid attention if gmail fits on screen without images. I guess this is the way it is? I use double tap to resize, but sometimes if I'm not careful the window resizes back to the original size, small.

I really like the way the Incredible handles both gmail and the browser windows. Is this a sense thing?
