Help Droid X dead pixel?

I started taking video randomly with and without lights and i saw 5-7 dead pixels (not sure if its an issue). Heres the video. Sorry for moving around.

there's 3 dead pixel at the upper right side thats on top of each other

If they dont appear on your screen when your not using the camcorder its mostlikely a software issue..my X has 1. Download another camera app and see if its still there.

As suggested earlier, if the dead pixels are only apparent when using the camera and its features, it's more than likely a software side issue.

However, if those pixels remain no matter which app or screen you maybe viewing, than I would definitely call up Verizon and ask for them to send you a replacement.

I just received a replacement today because of dead pixels.

I have one red pixel at the bottom right when taking pictures and video. Thats the only time i see it. Like stated above software should fix it..

Seems like you guys are right but i start seeing it when i use it at a dark place w/ flash on, other than that I DO LIKE MY DROID X!

Yeah, hopefully when OTA 2.2 update is released the issue is fixed..

I can confirm now that this was a confirmed software issue, and it is resolved in the next update. WHEW!

I have the same issue with one pixel not working in video mode.

There are two pixel based devices on the phone. The display and the CMOS sensor. Software will not fix pixel problems with the display and you will see pixel problems all the time. If the pixel problem is with the CMOS sensor, software can remove or mitigate the effect of the problem on pictures and video.

I'm a SLR guy and it cracks me up to see people complain about pixels on a cameraphone. The images from the Droid X are OK and maybe better than most phones, but are quite horrible when compared to even cheap point and shoot cameras.
