Over on the forums and sites for iPhone jailbreakers and modders, there are lots of people trying to make their jailbroken iPhone look and work as much like Android as possible. I've seen a full theme that is almost a spitting image of vanilla Android even. But know what I don't see on Android sites? People making themes and mods to make their Android phones look and act like iOS. Things that make you go hmmmm....

Every day these forums are getting snottier and more arrogant. When I first signed up I commented how cool everyone was, and how the environment fostered the growth of all mobile OSs in general. Now all it seems like is a bash Apple fest. Sad.

Since you complain about this forum so much, why are you still here? I don't go to places (or websites) I don't like, so why are you? (other than to start trouble?)

You do see what I have, right? I was just making an observation, where was I bashing? And since I don't have an Android handset yet, I haven't looked in the themes section, but I've just never seen anyone showing off their iOS-flavored theme. I'm sorry I upset you, I'll keep my humorous observations to myself from now on.

Plenty of people want their bland and dull PCs to look like OS X. Look at all the people trying to find GarageBand alternatives and Rocketbar to organize their icons.

Lol @ "bland and dull PCs." My PC isn't dull. Know why? I can open it up and mod it any time I want, however I want. Your locked-down bolted-shut Mac hardware, that's dull. Enjoy your shitty GPU and overpriced bare-bone internals.

Who knows? I don't make my desktop look like OS X. Windows 7 looks perfectly fine and you can customize the shit out of it using RainMeter or similar while not at all making it resemble OS X's puketastic anti-function counter-intuitive idiocy. There's a reason Mac users have been bleating at RainMeter devs forever for a Mac port.

Flail harder, Apple fanboy.

I'm hardly an Apple fanboy, I was asking a simple question. He said that people try and make their desktop look like OS X, and you say your PC isn't dull and talk about the insides. We were discussing the aesthetics, not the innards.

And that would all be personal preference, so moot point once again.

No, your selective reading was on. Step by step:

smacky: Plenty of people want their computer to look like OS X

grainysand: No they don't. I can play with RAM and stuff

intervenient: Yes, grainysand, this may be true, but we were talking about how people want their OS to look like OS X

grainysand: So? People can make it look like other things too! Apple fanboy!

Then you come in (despite the above being already posted):

IOWA: Who said anything about LOOKS?!

So what happened was you failed to read correctly again. Yes skinning is personal preference, but I wasn't trying to make a point about which is better. That is all you. All you do on these forums is try and convince what toys you have is better than anyone else's.

It's their phone, let 'em do whatever they want to it. :)

I agree.

It's just that some users on both sides post as if it is not enough to do whatever they want to do to their device; they seem to also want to persuade users of their perceived rival device that there's something wrong with their choices.

That can be amusing for a while, as we read through these threads, but one does begin to wonder after a time if these folks are truly comfortable with their chosen phone if they have to continually find their way to conversations where they are drawn in to defending it, over and over again.

Irony. Read slowly, son. Maybe I will use smaller words and shorter sentences next time. Here, this is what I posted:

Reading is very, very hard. I understand. There, there.
