I just rooted. Because I was running Sprint 2.1(.6), I first had to downgrade to 2.1(.5), then root, so my phone is back to factory state.
Should I restore backed up apps, app data, and redo various phone settings (gmail setup, etc.) now, or should I just flash a custom ROM first, since the custom ROM install process requires a wipe anyway?
I.e., for someone who is probably going to try a few custom ROMs, does it make sense to fully set up phone now, then use Titanium Backup, then flash custom ROM, then use Titanium Backup to restore apps, data, settings? Or am I misunderstanding how TB works to restore?
If I flash a custom ROM first, then set up phone, can I use TB to back everything up, then wipe and flash another custom ROM and use TB to restore data, apps, settings?
The goal is to avoid repeatedly setting up all the phone settings.
