Best battery+clock widget that's 4x1 sized

I am using Fancy Widget which I love, but I want to squeeze in the 4x1 stock Android news widget on my home screen.

I have the power control widget on there and a row of SMS, Gmail and Battery widget, so I have no room left on the home screen.

And please no mention of Beautiful Widgets. No disrespect to the dev, but I've played with it and did not like the styling.

Any ideas? What's a good, FREE widget that would display TIME + WEATHER ?

Digital Clock (same font/style as iPhone):

Digital Clock Widget - Android app on AppBrain

At first, you won't be able to tap it to bring up the system clock/alarm. On your phone, search for "digital clock" and you'll see a listing for "digital clock settings." There, you can set the widget to launch the system clock/alarm when tapped.


Weather widget, with MANY variations:

1) Add widget
2) Tap on widget
3) Hit Menu button
4) Add your location (make sure it's: city,state,USA ... if you're in the US, because the app is originally for Norway, but weather data is accurate outside of Norway)

You can customize the widget to launch a specific app when tapped. For the widget variations that have the clock + weather, you can set the clock to bring up the sytem clock (so you can set an alarm) and the weather side of the widget to launch the weather app the widget is associated with.

Alternative weather widget:

Accuweather (Free)

It takes up 1x4 (one space high, four wide) space but the right side has an arrow that toggles a multi-day forecast.

Wow, I really like this Weather Widgets so far. It has everything I wanted in one. It's not the prettiest, but it does the job, and so far quite well.

Is the click to open alarm working for you? I've tried everything and it still won't open the alarm when I click the clock. Any ideas?

EDIT: Fixed it. Even though I'm using LauncherPro, I needed to check off "Sense UI" box in settings. Now it brings up the alarm.

Beautiful widgets has a "smaller home weather" that I use and it's the perfect size, IMo. Best $2.00 I ever spent. Love that widget

yea i have tried that but its still accross the screen...a 4x1 size

looking for a clock only that you can change the size...eg 2x1, 3x1, 4x1 etc

i had one before the 2.1 update but i be dammed if i can remember what its called...it looks like BW but cant get it small enough...you could choose to have the weather on or off iirc

I used this app for a couple hours but every time the time would change (ie every minute) the date would toggle back and forth from day of the week, month, day to day of the week and month and leave the date off

It was annoying so I switched back to typoclock from XDA

I did like the different sizes available however

I've been using this for about a month now and the forecast temperature is always at least 10 degrees off. Think I'll try accuweather
