Always been into Hot sauce and spicy food in general. I even make my own Hot sauce and BBQ sauce.

I thought I would get a thread going to see if what peoples favorite hot sauces are. I am always interested in something new and figured this would be a great way to get ideas.

My current favorite is Torchbearer # 42

I love hot sauce!
I really like crystal sauce and cheeze-it mix.
I put hot sauce on about everything. I have around 30 of them. but all and all i think my favorite is 150 ghost pepper (may have the numbers mixed up) but that is really hot. i had to sign a waver when i bought it and the only things it is good for is like a cab for a vat or chili or betting people $100 bucks they can't swallow a cap full and not have a drink for 30 min. i always win.

im into hot sauce but there isnt much variety in our super markets.

my go to is franks red hot. is not my favorite but is WAY better than most shelf ones we get aroudn here (crystal, louisianna, texap pete, tobasco, etc) there is one called tiger sauce that i found once. is VERY spicy but has a really nice sweetness to it. GREAT for stir fry. other than that, i have not found too many small batch that i have come across that i like. most are about pure heat. that is just a novelty. i am looking for flavor as well. any suggestions of relatively easy to find sauces i will DEFF be open to suggestin about.

Dave's Total Insanity Sauce

[/end thread]

Is that the garlic lime one? If so, that one is pretty tasty. I prefer Dave's Ghost Pepper sauce, though. I just ordered some Ultimate Insanity and I'm really looking forward to trying that. I use Blair's Mega Death to heat up my wing sauces. My favorite every day sauces are sriracha, El Yucateco, and Jolokia 10. I loooove me some hot sauce, as you can tell. I also put those pickled Mezzetta habaneros on everything. If you like hot stuff you gotta try those!

I generally buy hot sauces at really random places. There is a local farmers market by me and a few of their stands have good hot sauces. I was in Mexico this year and got some good sauces there at local shops. Generally anytime I go on vacation I will come back with a sauce or two.

For those that like wings, I made some this weekend using this: www.defconsauces.com.

OMG!!! This has to be the best wing sauce I've ever tasted, & I've had a lot of wings. Now I'm kinda ruined on other sauces, though. I tried the Condition 1 & that was plenty hot w/o the extracty taste of sauces such as the blazin' sauce from BWW. I can't wait to go home from work to have my leftovers!

But in all seriousness :)

I've got 1 bottle of Pure Cap that I use when I need to kick up my salsa a few notches (just a few drops will do ya)
Some Dave's Insanity sauce for general use.
Seasoning From Hell for quick heat on my McFrys, eggs, or whatever.
and at work I've got a bottle of Ass Kicking Popcorn seasoning.

and One Numbered Bottle of 3am reserve that I've not opened... yet

Ugh, those reserve sauces shouldn't even count as sauce lol. Too hot for anyone to handle unless a toothpic full is mixed in w/ a vat of other sauce, chili, etc.

And, Sriracha is amazing. I think it has the best consistency of any sauce I've tried. It seems to cling to food & not drip at all. And it's perfect w/ everything. I love it w/ pizza & ramen.
