Help Mac Tiger vs Droid X

So basically I can't sync my 2 day old DX to Mac Tiger ever? I've been through a bunch of sync assist apps and none work. My macbook pro will not acknowledge the sd card. I really don't want to spend $160 on Mac Snowy Kitten so I have the "oppurtunity" to spend $40 on Missing Sync. All I want to do is sync my Google Calender & other Google stuff to the phone. I have an ipod for the music. If I thought it would help I would wipe this laptop and give it the Ubuntu treatment.

Any thoughts?

Yea...I have a Mac but Im running Snow Leo but all my stuff syncs with google..Only thing I use the Mac for is to put my pics on it. The phone sync with google.

I figured it all out.

For those who are found this by searching:

Go to: Apps Tray> My Accounts> Your Google account> Sync what you need to. You never have to hook your phone to your computer.

Loading pics & vids onto the Mac would be nice. Maybe I'll go work on that until I'm absolutely infuriated.

Protip: Although the EULA says you can't do it, you can just buy the Snow Leopard upgrade for $30. I don't know if you can do the straight update from 10.4 to 10.6, but I know you can reformat and install 10.6 with the $30 retail 10.6 disc.

Assuming you have an Intel processor. PowerPCs won't work with Snow Leopard.

You can also install Snow Leopard for free from a buddy's upgrade disk with no issues or hassle what so ever.

I run 10.4.11 (due to critical software not running in leopard) and the phone shows up just fine, at least it you put it in USB mass storage mode. I haven't tried to sync it though.

The pain in the ass with OS X is those damn .DS_Store files it craps all over your SD card.

I'm not sure why the title is computer versus phone though...
