Hey guys I was just wondering if some one could give me a little info.

I am trying to make a semi transparent status bar for stock 2.1.

its going fine, the bar looks good, now I am working on editing the .png files for the battery, 3g, wifi, ect. to make the background transparent like the status bar instead of being black like before.

I got them all working except for the signal bars. for some reason I can't get the background to change.

would this be because I am not using a deodexed ROM?
maybe I am simple editing the wrong files?

There's another file that needs to be edited ;) com.htc.resources.apk located in system/framework/
Code:
adb pull system/framework/com.htc.resources.apk Where\ever\you\want\it
Edit what you want then push it back, you should be all set :)

Just a thought ... I am using a transparent bar and at first I was like WTF the icons have that black built into them. But then I thought how hard it would be to see them if they didnt have it. I know fixing the icons should be done to get that 100% finished job feeling but the black on the icons makes it a lot easier to see the notifications quickly.

All that being said I know you will go do the icons (I would do them also) so good luck I would love to see a screenshot when you get them done.
