Help Froyo's great but navigation cuts off music?

Not trying to bitch about Froyo, for the most part I think its great. Finally my contact pics are properly synced and properly updating with facebook.

But when using turn by turn navigation, before it would drop the music, give the direction and the music would turn back on.

Now it pauses the player, and the music doesn't turn back on without manually pressing play again. Driving through downtown seattle with lots of turns this is pretty annoying

Anyone know of a workaround for this?

Thanks.

If you guys haven't already please click on the link above, login to your gmail and "star" the issue at the top left.

Not only will you get an email when there is a solution but it helps further along the process by letting google know everyone is affected and wants it fixed

Do NOT do this!

The bug linked above is NOT the issue described in this thread!

No I like that it still plays the notification sounds, in fact I'd be rather peeved if that "bug" was "fixed" with no way of leaving it as be.

Well it should go back to the way it was prior to the update...it played the notification OVER the music...it didn't stop the music...now it STOPS the music and the music does not resume

that is what I read as being the complaint...with 2.2 it STOPS playing any other audio to play the notification, and then the audio does NOT resume...

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere on these forums but Doubletwist seems to work. I installed it for the first time yesterday on my Froyo HTC Desire. Since the upgrade to Froyo the HTC music player stopped when directions were given, but Doubletwist worked without any problems on a 200 mile trip yesterday. Also I'm quite surprised how good this player is. I never liked the Windows desktop version, maybe I'll give it another try.
