3G limit warning?

How often does the Data usage message update? I sent in a query for one last night and I got 31mb used, today I get a message telling me I am 65% over my limit an have used 160 MB. All I used the internet for was chat and some web-browsing (like 5 pictures and a few webpages), but nowhere near 120MB. During the time frame between when I checked I was on an airplane for 4 hours (so no 3G) and then went to bed and got the warning when I woke up.

So how often does the data usage message update? Also, how immediately do you get the Data usage warning mesage?

Set your wifi sleep policy to never, you probably have something running/updating in the background.

Thing is, it was. I wasn't in access to wifi, and I still have no idea what would have driven up 120 MB of data in around 3 hours.

Some other dude on here had this problem, Im not sure if he found out what the problem was but maybe you can look for the thread.. it was about 4 days ago.

You will get a message at 65%, 95% and when you have hit the 200mb or 2GB limit. The additional $15 will be added to the 200mb plan allowing an additional 200mb and on the 2Gb plan you will be charged $10 for each gig that you exceed. Hope this helps.

I believe you can upgrade to the 2GB plan at anytime, so if you are about to go over, I would switch to the 2GB plan for 10 dollars more and then switch back next month rather than paying 15 dollars for another 200mb.

What's the point of this post, just to be a jerk? We all know that AT&T has discontinued the unlimited plans and only those of us who are grandfathered in have the option. Just wait until they roll out their 4G network and require you to get a "4G" plan with no unlimited option.

I believe you can upgrade to the 2GB plan at anytime, so if you are about to go over, I would switch to the 2GB plan for 10 dollars more and then switch back next month rather than paying 15 dollars for another 200mb.

I use 3G watchdog to monitor my usage. It's great.
