That's unfortunate you're having so many problems with your Incredible. I know a lot of people, including myself and my fiancee, are in love with the DINC. Coming from the Storm this phone has been a complete blessing and allows myself, a geek, to explore it's fullest potential and to allow my fiancee, the casual user, to get full enjoyment out of it's simplicity too. Hard to find a phone that does both so seemlessly.

As for Verizon. They have always been really good to us. After 10 years of service with them, they have never once let me down with Customer Service (or reception service for that matter). I've noticed that cell phone plans are really beginning to get pricey with all the forced data plans but I think we're going to see that across the board.

All that said, the EVO does seem like a pretty slick phone. If you end up going that route let us know how you feel post-switch

I've used all the major carriers and while Sprint seems to have to nice initial offerings, I have to say, in my experience, VZW appears to have the most consistent coverage and better (although not always great) customer services. But when it all boils down to it, what is it that you want from a cell phone provider? Price, Product or Service. Its hard, tho not impossible to get all three at the highest level. In My opinion of course. :)

Verizon has been good to me to, although pricier. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. I've had many cell phone providers thru the years including Sprint, TMobile and a few now defunct ones.

Sprint was on par with T-mobile, but in the suburban area where I live I was having trouble with call signals. Tmobile (last carrier before VZW) had 1 bar come and go. Had to find a spot in my home when using cell service and don't you think about moving around. Freinds who have Sprint get the same results with their service. With Vzw I have no issues, I can be in my basement and still use text and phone service.

tbta02, if your in a major city you probably won't have an issue, however if you travel a lot or often go out of the city get ready for spotty service.

Verizon is way overpriced. My wife/daughter are on the $129 for 1500 (unlimeted data/text/etc.) It would have cost me closer to $200 for less than that on Verizon. Sprint works great where I live (and we're 4g here). I have the dinc because my company paid for it. If they didn't I would have an EVO on Sprint. Both good phones. Both good service (where I live/travel). If I were you I'd jump to Sprint.

I am still traumatized from Sprint customer service when I had them 2 years ago. For 6 months, I spent hours every month, fighting, arguing, redialing to have them fix amazing billing errors. Every month they would finally understand, finally say they'd fix it, only to see the next month bill messed up in some creative new way. My bill ranged from a 600 credit to a 600 over charge. Not fun. Not worth my time and blood pressure.

Sprint has some decent deals to get customers. Once you are one, they are pretty much crap.

T-Mobile has the best pricing around. Crap service though.

I'll stick with my Verizon. Customer service has always been great and the signal is excellent. I love it when my AT&T or Sprint friends have to use my phone because they can't get signal. Happens all the time. And Verizon always seems to have decent promotions for their current customers while the other guys tend to just have good deals for new customers.

My Dad's company uses Sprint. For a while his voicemail message was something along the lines of "Welcome to the wonderful world of Sprint/Nextel, where your call may be dropped at any moment. Please leave a message and make it quick, cell towers can't handle more than 30 seconds at a time."

Him and his guys now all use Verizon :D

I have a BB Curve on Sprint and the cell service is pretty much on par with Verizon . My Curve isn't 3g so I don't know how there 3g service is or for that matter there 4g but I know in Denver I hear it's actually pretty good.

As far as there customer service goes, I had to get my Curve replaced once and it took almost 2 weeks , it was a big hassel. Verizon I can just walk in a nd get a new phone or call and they overnight one to me . I love Verizons customer service, but if you can save that mcuh money I would do it. The EVO is basically a suped up Incredible

I've had all of the major carriers myself.

AT&T - you couldn't pay me to go back to them. I had them pre-smartphone and had the worst experience. About a year into my contract, they started messing with the towers. I completely lost service at my house (which was in the city) and had little to no service anywhere else. They refused to work with me, and I had to end up buying out of my contract.

T-Mobile - awesome customer service, good phones, bad coverage.

Sprint - honestly, their unlimited text/voice/data plan has peaked my interest here lately. I was looking into it the other night. It would drop my bill roughly $80 to $100 a month. But what's the catch? At this point, I'm still pretty far out from ending my contract, so I'm going to hold out and PRAY that VZW comes up with something comparable. Their service has been hands down the best out of all of the carriers.
