Why I Love My X10!!!

I have had my X10 since April and I love it!!!

I am sick of seeing crap threads about why the X10 Sucks, How SE stuffed up, Lack of Multi Touch or only running 1.6

I would like to hear from other X10 users about why they love their phone!!!

I am sure there are people out there who are just as happy with their X10 as I am with mine!!

Well coming from a nexus one running froyo I can honestly say I don't miss it at all compared to my x10. I couldnt care less if the x10 has multi touch or not. I just can't wait till we get 2.1 and have 720p video recording along with some nice polishing in the timescape and mediascape apps. I love my x10 and I'm glad I gave up my nexus one for it. But I am in no way dissing the nexus one either.

ok mr sony employee lol.. i like the way the phone looks and i love the screen (great for mp4) but the phone could of and should of been so much more... it'd be like having your kid get a degree from oxford only to sweep the streets their whole life... it could of owned the market but instead dribbles in the corner..
why don't you outline exactly what it is you love about it in detail hmmn or don't you know.
and mr patch i'd love to see your face when sony say oh we never officially stated 720p would be patched in, the hardware just isn't capable..

I love the build quality, the styling, the weight, the looks. I'm sorry to put this in here, but I cannot stand the constant faults with the phone. That said, i'm definitely really happy with it, and if I was given the choice to switch with say, the Galaxy S, I would have to think pretty hard about it.

my wife won mine for me , love the sat nav, the headphones , big screen . love the way the flash stays on when not taking pictures (not ). love the market , most of all love the fact I'm not tied into a contract otherwise the love affair would be over . In some ways my nokia e 63 did things better .

I bought it mainly for the style and the HUGE screen, i'm amazed with Google Nav with satelite view (never saw that on any GPS). Since update R...020 i can now enjoy a really nice baterry life. I love my phone and i don't regret not getting the IPhone4

But to be honest. i hate my x10 I COULD of got a much better Android phone if i just done my research

The problem in general, is most people on these forums want everything to be the best of the best. It doesn't matter which phone they buy, they will find some sort of fault with it. The moment something doesn't do what they want, it is obviously a deal killer and they should have gotten something else.

Personally, I could care less about what firmware it has, whether I can root it easily, and how crappy the stock apps are. I dumped my samsung vue for this phone, the vue is a basic flip with very few features. I don't even have a data package for my X10. I don't need it. I love, repeat, love that it syncs with google. I have all my contacts, calander, some cool google apps, I downloaded a bunch of fun stuff from the market. As a fairly "regular" user, the phone is awesome. It hooks up to wifi easily, it has a huge screen. I can lie bed and easily read reddit at night and watch some youtube videos. My battery life is fine, I get a couple days out of it easily. oh yeah, I can change the battery without having to send it to the OEM. What a concept.

I'm still loving my phone. Does what I need it to do. Text loads, take decent pics (yeah ok zenon flash would have been great) like the screen when watching videos etc. Looks pretty, feels nice in my hand, like the market and apps so I can change it up to what I want. I have no idea what difference 2.1 will make to me - I'm not stressing about it. The battery is now fine after the R2BA023 then 26.

The phone does have a few issues but on the whole I'd probably still choose this one over anything else.

as for doing all the complaining on forums, well call SE and email SE,, believe it or not corporate does monitor that stuff,, so the more that state there views,, the quicker and higher the flag goes up,,

i tried other droid phones here in canada and did find the x10 more stable and solid then the others,, but that is just me

The design... That is all.

The rest of it like sat nav and what ever else is just android so all android phones will do all of the things listed above.

Same can be said for a lot of phones. Why does the main Android Dev phone the N1 have wireless N disabled but supports it, lame track ball instead of optical, FM radio disabled, no HD recording even though camera is capable, why is the multi touch half assed and not work in email, and not implemented globally like iOS, etc.

Well I live in Australia and short of buying a phone outright from Overseas the X10 is still one of the best phones available here. Unless I wanted a Iphone (like everyone else)

I have hardly seen anyone here with a Android phone (Im sure they are out there, just WAY out numbered by Iphones) (Not a Iphone hater, just dont want one)

The X10 looks sleek. It feels good in the hand. Ridiculously easy to learn how to use. Better UI than the stock Android. Fast. Amazing screen. I spent 4 hours on a flight watching movies on it (WITHOUT THE BATTERY RUNNING OUT)

You said if you'd done your research you could have gotten a better phone. Well why didnt you??? Oh thats right, YOU DIDNT DO ANY RESEARCH!!
I did. Stop you whining and enjoy what you have or sell it and get something else. But you know you will never be satisfied.

Ah actually I started it cause I thought that maybe there were some people out there like me who liked their X10, not looking to complain.
So many threads in this forum are about complaining.

Not everything is about you.

No one ever tells their friends how good their boyfriend / girlfriend is, they only ever complain, its human nature, same thing with mobile phones.

IMHO i have to agree with most, the X10 could have been the first real 'iphone killer' but sadly its fallen short, yes the camera is better and yes its more user friendly, but my iphone was by far more reliable than the X10, i've got more issues with it now after the update than i did before. That said i do like it and I'm going to stick with it and hopefully get it sorted or find apps that make it easier to use.

I have to say this though (and you're not going to like it) if you ask for peoples opinions on something then you have to be prepared with the fact they may not all agree with you, and its no good saying "Why i love my X10!!!" thinking they'll agree, its clear on here people dont. You love it and thats all that should matter, relax, have a beer, go to a happy place.....you'll live longer.

X10 is absolutely amazing. Already got my AUX cable and listen to pandora in my car using 3G.

I just love using my X10 ,yes TimeScape needs some work but you can replace it with ADW Launcher and it becomes an absolute speed deamon! The phone is as smooth as butter to use, i just cant get enough of it,the display is HUGE and so detailed,the phone has a stunning design that is very unique etc.... I just love my X10!!! Im excited for 2.1 but otherwise happy with 1.6 on it.
SE did indeed confirm HD720p@30fps with constant focus video recording coming in 2.1 by the way.

I love the phone NOW that its been rooted. I hated the fact that SE forced all those apps on you. Now that Ive discovered ADW launcher (only today Im afraid to add) I love it even more.

The screen is massive (albeit at the detriment to the battery - but its a small price to pay, and Ive now got into the habit of charging it every night anyway), the design is sleek and sexy, and the camera, for my meagre purposes, is the best Ive had.

I HATE the timescape app, but thanks to the rooting, its gone

Yes it does have snags and issues (Worse for me is the fact that I keep losing signal every once in a while, even if just for a few seconds), but I think the reason most here hate it, is cause they come from a developers background, or are into the teckie side of things.

For us average Joe's, who with the help of the pros, (Powerkiter and Bexy to name a few ) have managed to root it and completely customize it, its a fantastic phone. Certainly better than any one Ive had so far. (Prev one was the HTC Touch Dual)

My other half has an Iphone, and yea its great too, in a few ways better than the X10, but overall, if I could, id mate with it and produce little "mini X10's"

Oh and for the record, I don't know what SE have promised or haven't, (Pinch and zoom isnt that important to me, but at the same time, being a tech challenged idiot, also dont really know what else M.T is capable of anyway ) but I can tell you, word out is that HD is DEFINITELY coming on the update, if it isnt, I too will be seriously pi$$ed.
