Same here... except on Verizon.com yesterday afternoon - I still got the upgrade pricing, not paying $549 that's for sure!

Now... I just need to find some screen protectors! I have no idea where to look since is so new, I got my TP2 protectors off Ebay, so maybe I'll try there?

I bought the Skinomi Techskin for Droid because D1 and D2's screen sizes are the same anyway. Fits almost perfectly.

They sell them at Verizon, it's like 14.99 for a 3-pack. Why you need 3, I don't know...

I purchased two Droid 2 phones on a new contract for my wife and myself on Friday. Best Buy price-matched Walmart and we received both phones at $100 each. Hope this helps!
