Root [RADIO] 2.15.00.07.28 radio

OK, still not working for me.. Not sure why. I have S-off, and its on the root of my drive.. Any suggestions?

Go under astro app and look for the PB31img file and long press on it. This should bring up file options>choose edit>>rename and make sure it says pb31img.zip if not rename it to this. You might be getting .zip.zip on file

When I downloaded it through chrome browser it named the file PB31IMG (1).zip I had to rename my file.

one last question (i've read through 99% of the pages both here and on xda on this but i still haven't been able to wrap my head around this fully) before i do this...

i'm currently stock with stock radio, but rooted. however, i did install the hydra undervolted stock kernel, non-wireless n...been running that for a while now.

if i update the radio, is it going to cause issues with that? should i flash back to the stock kernel first?

OK guys, thanks for all the help, I just can't get it to recognize it for some reason...

Any one know where I can at least try 2.xxx whichever, just to see if I can even get that to work?

I'm not sure why it wouldn't be finding it... What should this be formatted to?

Try downloading it straight to your phone through the internet. You could search your download files on pc and select it in there. Then, make sure phone is mounted to computer and debugging is on and click on right mouse button>>>select send to and pick the drive on your phone. Mine showed 2 choices for phone and I have to select the second one for the sd card 1st internal storage.

Your best bet is to download straight to phone. I had to do that once before on the radio before file. This was driving me nuts at the time. I was having some sort of trouble with firefox and alzip on downloading to pc. But all has been good since I downloaded that one file straight to phone.

I'll give this a try... Any idea why now my Android won't even recognize anything on my SD card?? It shows up that its blank

Either from reformatting it or you still have it hooked to the computer and you need to change it from mount disk drive to charge only. Charge only will show the files on sd card

Well, its got to be something with my HBOOT I'm guessing.. I have exactly what you have there, I just don't know why it won't recognize it. It says S-Off at the top of the HBOOT menu too, so I'm not sure.

Thanks a lot for all this too

What numbers are after the hboot at the top of your screen. Mine says hboot-0.77.000

I will say that I just tried to boot into recovery to see what hboot I had and I got the qualcomm trying to run with phone beeping and the led flashing. I remember reading over at XDA today that the person had to push volume down and power button at the same time. First I pulled battery to get past qualcomm thing and then pushed the volume down and power button at the same time. This brought up recovery and I answered NO to if I wanted to update the pb31img file. Then, it asked if I wanted to reboot phone and I answered yes and all is good. I will move that file off of the sd card where this won't happen again.

This is unrelated to tranzue problem just a problem I just had trying to reboot phone.

Just tried... Moved it to the root of SD, still doesn't work. It comes up real quick, in the HBOOT menu, about looking of PM31IMG but it says file not found or wrong image or something... It says it very quickly.

Would it hurt to try and install it from Clockwork? Like where you can apply updates, just find that package and install it?

I don't wanna brick :( just like everyone else haha

Something is wrong with the file then. Have you downloaded straight to your phone and tried that yet?

EDIT: Should I try the INstall zip from sdcard in ClockworkMOD?

What rom and radio do you have now?

1. I'm on stock 2.1 rom at this moment, with the new 2.x radio and functioning perfectly...

*edit ok so all appears to be working fine, but... quadrand score hangs on the video testing... and speedtest.net is reporting 9 and 11 K upload speeds... far too slow... So while it appears to be working, maybe not optimally... Off to find a 2.2 adrynalyne rom...

Ive noticed a modest radio signal increase. Normally in my house, my signal is -90dBM when its in my hand, and -84dBm is I'm not touching it. Currently -87dBm while being held, and -82 dBm sitting on the table.

Modest increast at best. a signal increase is welcome. However, what I am looking for in particular is when after flashing a 2.2 rom, not losing 3g and having to toggle airplane mode. If this happens for me, I'm going to be seen doing cart-wheels down the street!
LOL
