New Pandora 1.4 now in market

people are complaining in the market about it wanting permissions to read contacts. some are saying the permissions are just to share stations with contacts. i don't remember this in previous versions, so maybe that is what is different? fingers crossed it's an update to fix the sound issues thx to froyo cause i'm holding at 2.1 until i know for sure my pandora will work right in froyo.

It has not asked me for any permissions about contacts. I have Froyo and the Pandora 1.4. So far, so good.

This was a minor update that simply fixed a few issues in Froyo. It will stop playing now when you remove a headset cable. It will now restart playing after a notification or phone call.

It DOES NOT fix the sound quality problems some people have experienced after the Froyo update. This is still a stage fright codex issue. There is supposed to be a fix, I tried the one for Sapphire, but it did not work....

It asked me about a permissions update. That's how I got to the thread by trying to track down why it wants to access my contacts.

I don't use Pandora much anyway so I'll probably just wait to update.

I'm running the OTA Froyo Evo update (.6) if it matters.

Probably to do with the profile page they're doing, as well as being able to share stations with contracts.
