I have a Strange thing happening with my Hero that I am hoping one of you experts may have an idea about please.
I have noticed that once I have sent a text I am not getting any tone to let me know that the text has been delivered which is rather annoying as I have to keep on long pressing the text I have sent to "view report".
I am getting the Notification tone Hours later after the text has got to the person I sent it to.
On all my other phones (I am on 3 Mobile) the tone is straight away once the text gets to the other person.
Has anyone any idea please why the Hero is taking so long to let me know audibly that the text/s has been delivered?

Peace,
Andrew.

Hi All, so has has anyone else had this happen and does any of our experts
on here have any ideas please?
I am wondering if maybe its something to do with my Network 3 or the phone!

Peace,
Andrew.

I've never used this feature and don't know if it works for me, my suggestion is just check if you have
All programs > Messages > Menu > Settings > SMS settings
active Delivery reports
correct Service Center number for your provider
then > Notification settings
active Notifications

Hi afonja, the delivery reports was the first thing I made sure was ticked
when I got the phone.
Its Weird because I get a sound every time I receive a text or e-mail
but not one to let me know the person has received the text or email I
have sent them!
Has anyone else experienced this at all?

Peace,
Andrew.

Not here in England Joe, we have the choice to let us know that our text or email has made it through to the person its meant for.
This will still work if I put my Sim back into my N95 (8Gig) on 3 so its just
my Hero it is Not seeming to work on.

Peace,
Andrew.

Many carriers have disabled this function as a way to mitigate network traffic. Does it work on a different phone with the same carrier?

No Elpelco, as I said in my post, I am getting a tone but it is Not straight
away that the person gets my text or email but sometimes hours later.
So there is a problem there.

Peace,
Andrew.

You can get delivery reports, they're on the message in the list. Your phone just doesn't tell you when they're delivered. I think that's the way it was designed.
