lol. I am astounded at my DROID. Loving it more and more every day I own it.

of course, I am also an extensive Beta tester for computer software and Operating Systems, with occasional hardware testing as well, so naturally a new product on a new(ly updated) platform appeals to my heart and soul!

We have definitely reached a new peak in technology with not only the hardware on these phones but Googles astoundingly flawless OS all wrapped up in a package that fits in my pack of cigarettes... Proud owner of an Eris and it gets better day to day..

They hit the nail on the head with the Motorola Droid! My only wish is that it did NOT have the slide out keyboard and it would be perfect. But it is so thin even with it that it does not matter!

The Motorola is nice physically besides the overall shape and keyboard, by that I mean nice hardware but its all useless with their lack luster software. The only reason its nice is Google held their hands. Motorola has proven to be and still is garbage.

Yep, did my research Had to have the high resolution screen and the DVD quality recording! Can't find that in any other android device I have seen.

I have been pleased with both features.

For the extra $100 you spent I could go out and purchase an actual HD camera/recorder that is 10MP not 5... while still having the same thing on my phone without a flash... so where was your research done?

I hope that is what YOU did if that is what YOU wanted! I happen to already have a pocket HD recorder and I find that I do not carry it with me everywhere...my phone I do.

I tell you what, next time I want a new phone, I will run it by YOU first and see if it is what I really want!

Why is it not possible to believe that different people have different desires in their devices??? For ME, the Droid is the closest one to perfect.

Oh ya that's right, the Eris has a high resolution screen and DVD quality recording.. That's why this all started like I said you didn't do your research.. What you meant was the highest possible resolution screen with the best quality recording... Just so you know that's why I got into this with you..

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. The part that *seemed* a little inflammatory was the two different posts saying

"Someone did not do their research" and after indicating that there were much better choices than what I made, you said "so where was your research done?" I probably took that too personally...

It is SO EASY to misinterpret people''s intent on forums like these. I obviously did so with yours, and for that, I apologize.

I don't think either of us could have made a mistake with the devices we chose. They are both great! I think the Android platform has a lot of potential going forward. It is fantastic to have alternatives!

I agree about Windows Mobile. Had them for a few years. Picked up one a while back and thought about how far we have come past what they offer. Android is the future in my opinion!
