Droid X In Stock

The people that haven't bought a Droid X, because of it being out of stock, i just checked Amazon.com and they have the Droid X in stock with free 2 day shipping.

The one thing holding me back from ordering on amazon: confusion. My line isn't upgradable for at least a year, but one of my others is. Now, how would i buy the droid x from amazon while using the other upgrade from the other line on my line? See? There's no answer. There's just me ordering from verizonwireless.com on my next paycheck and waiting 2-3 weeks like a chump

I upgraded my MiFi line with a Droid Incredible once. It didn't need to be activated until it got to me then during the *228 process you are walked through accepting your agreement. As part of the last step you are asked something like whether you are activating on the line you ordered it for or another line.

It's actually pretty easy. I ordered my upgrade on LetsTalk which at the time was cheapest and did not require the rebate.

I suspect Amazon works somehow the same way. I think on LetsTalk I provided my phone number that I was upgrading and not a lot else.

The price I saw for the phone was $179.99 but the restriction is it must be a new line of service. I will wait for my NE2 discount and pay $99. It sucks to wait but it is what it is. I won't die without the phone. I may feel like I'm going to die, but it certainly won't happen. Waiting sucks. A lot!

I will be surprised if they actually have it in stock. My last half dozen experiences with Amazon have been nightmarish from a delivery standpoint. Their system may show stock, but they use 3rd party vendors for almost everything. They clain their system is only as good as the updates they get from the vendors.

Order it, but I'd be careful canceling with VZW. You may get the double whammy.

I purchased one in a Verizon store Friday at lunch. I received an email Friday evening that it had shipped. The tracking shows that it arrived in my city's FedEx sorting facility Saturday evening, but it still shows scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.

This is exactly what I did and its more of a headache. Verizon still shipped the phone and activated the account without my knowledge until I got the bill. After contacting Verizon they were supposed to cancel the original account so I could get my money back and not have 2 bills. Well they didn't and I received a bill for $455. I got hit with the cancellation charge plus normal service fee's. I called them back and the rep had me on the phone for a good half hour, but assured me the original account was canceled and I wasn't responsible for any charges. Phone is worth the headache though.

Well I ordered the X from Amazon on 8/16 and canceled my Verizon order. Received a confirmation on my cancellation from Verizon. Now just waiting on the delivery. My amazonwireless account says delivery date 8/18 but no shipping information yet. Called customer service a few minutes ago and they said its on the truck just no tracking information yet! Kepping my fingers crossed!!!
