Root Simpleroot help

oh, you're coming from 2.2 correct? I helped you nandroid an old 2.1 backup?

hmm, i wonder if that's the reason you're having issues. You could try running the new unrevoked4ever. If it works, you'll have the engineering bootloader and NAND unlocked. Then you will be fully rooted and never run into issues like this again.
I thought they were still working on it?

I didn't have to put any files onto my sd card when I used simpleroot 1 click.

I installed HTC Sync, install Microsoft framework 4.0, Extracted simpleroot zip to my desktop, Turn on usb debugging on the phone, plugged the phone in, started the ota.simpleroot.exe, updated the simpleroot app, Clicked button 1 and followed the on screen instructions, clicked button 2 and picked a recovery, Installed a rom....everything went pretty smooth

Did you do everything in red?

Try this:
Within the SimpleRoot folder drag the following to the root of your sdcard:

mtd-eng
flash_image
eng-PC36IMG

Now try it again.
WHere is the root of my sdcard? I've looked for it but I see no such file or directory.
