What ever happened to the option of putting your phone into silent mode (no ring or vibrate) by pressing the ringer volume one below vibrate? I can only get my phone to either do a silent (no ring) + vibrate or silent + no vibrate. Am I missing something? or is this missing from this ROM? or Froyo 2.2 in general?

That is a "feature" of Froyo in general.

Credit to Gimpsta for the HTC_IME "kitchen" and stewart1champ for the liquid logo I used.

Here are the keyboard choices and previews:

And UBR, my friend's software keyboard is unresponsive on the last row, he is stock 2.1 Do you think reinstalling that apk you posted solve the problem?

Actually GirLuvsDroid posted that keyboard but to answer your question...possibly. I would first grab another keyboard to rule out the possibility that the screen could be the issue. I just posted 4 of them...download one of those to test ;)

Totally new to the rooting process, I LOVE THIS ROM!!! Thank you so much for all the work! I rooted to solve the issue with the SiruisXM app, which now works after a tweak, FTW!

totally newb question here, how do i apply the themes? I can't get it to come up in the ADB options and really cannot find a place where it tells me how to install one of the cool themes that accompany this ROM.

Thanks in advance!

Just use ROM Manager and install it as though it would be a ROM (install update from SD Card). If using SPR, then rename to update.zip and install.

I just tried installing the Blueberry keyboard, and it is not displaying. I installed it via Astro, and then rebooted and still nothing.

You have to go to settings > language and keyboard > check the box for HTC_IME mod

Then when you long press on any text field a pop up will appear and say "input method". Select that and then choose the HTC_IME option. Then click on the input field again.

This question has already been answered read up the post it ain't that long yet

yup you were correct. i didn't read far back enough apparently. but I'm pretty sure all this has been good for me b/c it made me mess around w/ LauncherPro a lot and made me realize that I actually do like it. ALOT actually. So much I'm officially ditching (or backing up to SDcard and deleting) ADW.launcher even though it has been VERY good to me. but I do like LancherPro so much that I actually JUST purchased the pro version (just after half a day of use!) and I'm glad I did. One of the best home replacements definitely. So glad I finally decided to root and thank you LiQuID FroZeN YoGurT for showing me the awesomeness that is LancherPro

Damn...

I just want to point out that this ROM has a current Rating of 4.89 with 29 votes! Seems to me that everyone is liking this ROM a lot! Good stuff!

I know that liquid is constantly trying to add features and correct issues. For example, many of you seem to be having some iffy feelings about the Droid2's keyboard as the default keyboard...Liquid has already said that the next release (which he started talking about before he posted 1.4) would go back to the original stock keyboard and the Droid2 keyboard would be an optional download.

So post it! What would you like to see added, changed, etc? I personally wanna see how far Liquid can push this ROM! You might not see your request on the next release...but eventually, you probably will!

And although I hate when people tell you that "you should donate"...having seen how much work has gone into 1.3 and 1.4.........my cheap ass donated...nuff said ;)

I would like to see the reboot into recovery option and perhaps some battery life tweaks. Not that battery life isn't good with liquid but I think there are roms with better expectancy.

Thanks...found it. For some reason, launcherpro didn't install with mine. I downloaded from the market with no problem...but I thought it was IN the rom??

It's not in the stock ROM because it's readily available in the Market. It is in the themed versions, because it has to be in /system/app in order to be themed.

I'm also unable to duplicate the problem. The focus mode works just fine for me when I tap it first thing after opening the camera. It must be a compatibility issue with another app, or even the kernel you've chosen. I know it might sound weird that the kernel is the issue, but I just discovered last night that it was the P3Droid kernel I was using that was causing Goggles to force close (same result with Slayher kernels, but ChevyNo1 kernels don't cause the problem).

To troubleshoot my Goggles problem, I did a nandroid backup of my setup, wiped my partitions and loaded the naked stock ROM, then added nothing but wifi and Goggles -- Goggles worked. I then added just my theme -- Goggles worked. I then added the P3Droid kernel I was using and Goggles immediately FC'd when I tried to open it. Next I loaded a ChevyNo1 kernel and Goggles worked. I loaded P3Droid and then Chevy again to verify the result. When I tried the new Slayher kernels later in the evening, Goggles FC'd again. Maybe you could troubleshoot your issue in a similar fashion.

i decided to go back to LFY 1.4 with no theme, so i did a Wipe data/factory reset and a Wipe Cache Partition, reinstalled 1.4 and still had the same issue and this was before i reinstalled any apps. another issue i saw was opening an attachment in gmail i would get the message in the pic. so then i decided to go to a stock frg22 and now no issues. so i thought i would try what UB suggested here in the 1.3 thread

"I SWEAR by this method...I don't flash a ROM without doing this and I NEVER have installation issues...

1) Reboot into recovery (Clockwork preferably)

NOTE: If you haven't already done a backup...do one now. I always perform my backups via ROM Manager so I can properly label my backups. If you need to do a backup at this point it will work exactly the same way but it names your backup with time and date information (you can rename the file later :))

Here's how to create a backup in Clockwork Recovery

Code:
From the main recovery screen, go to:Nandroid and then select "Backup"
2) Select "wipe data/factory reset" - This will actually format your Data, Cache, and SD-ext partitions

3) Go into the "partitions menu"

4) Format "Boot"

5) Format "System"

6) Go back to the main screen (power button backs you out to the previous menu)

7) Install zip from sdcard

Done...that is the way I have done it forever. You can do the same thing if you are using SPRecovery but you have to do it using ADB (there are not menu options to format partitions like there is with Clockwork).

Hope that helps!"

But now I got the OTA froyo notice on my pnone. Can I still go into recovery and reinstall 1.4 without the pending OTA update causing any problems?

The reboot to recovery has been in there since the beginning! And a lot of us are seeing great battery life.

seriously? im looking at my phone now and i see- silent mode-airplane mode-reboot-power off. no reboot to recovery:(

i thought it was odd because i have a backup of 1.3 on my sd card and i thought it did have reboot to recovery???
